New villagers arrived in Animal Crossing: New Horizons as part of the game’s Ver. 2.0 update on November 3rd (two days before the planned release date of November 5th) — and via the Animal Crossing Series 5 amiibo cards. 16 new villagers made their debut in Animal Crossing: New Horizons in 2021, and here’s a list of every single one of them.
How do I meet the new villagers in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons update?
All the newcomers are meetable the same way as the rest of the game’s hundreds of potential friends. By going on Mystery Tours via Nook Miles Tickets, you have a chance of meeting any and all villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons — including the 16 new villagers.
The other, more sure-fire way is via scanning their amiibo card. Each of these characters will have an amiibo card via Series 5, meaning those who pick up a few packs should be able to meet and greet with them. After three visits (and three favors completed), they can then be invited to live on your island permanently.
