The Spring celebration is over in Pokémon GO, so it’s back to following the game’s season theme (the Season of Rising Heroes). This event is focused on aiding Team Mystic Leader Blanche and getting bonuses for evolving Pokémon. Plus, a new Costumed Pokémon is available thanks to a new Special Research Story.

Pokémon GO’s Season of Rising Heroes – A Mystic Hero
Begins: Thursday, April 13th, 2023 at 10 a.m. your local time.
Ends: Monday, April 17th, 2023 at 8 p.m. your local time.
Pokémon debuts – Costumed Lapras
So far this event is light on Pokémon, as its focus is on evolving Pokémon, but there is one new debut. Included as a reward for this event’s Special Research Story (A Mystic Hero), there’s a new Costumed Lapras*. This one is wearing a Blanche-themed accessory. According to Niantic, “[t]his is the only way to encounter Lapras wearing a Blanche-themed accessory for this Season.”
Notes:
- Pokémon marked with an * means that “If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!”
- Going forward, this Pokémon will be referred to as “Costumed” rather than the exact outfit they are wearing.
Event Bonuses
- 2× XP for evolving Pokémon
- Two (2) guaranteed Candy XL for evolving Pokémon
- All Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three (3) hours
Event Boxes
If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live.
- Journeyer Box (999 PokéCoins, purchase limit 1): 10 Super Incubators, 2 Star Pieces, and 3 Poffins.
Timed Research – A Mystic Hero
A Timed Research quest called A Mystic Hero will be active during the event and will reward Trainers with a Magnetic Lure.

Field Research Tasks
There will be event-exclusive Field Research Tasks available and the rewards include Stardust and evolution items. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.

Special Research – A Mystic Hero and Let’s GO! + An Everyday Hero
An event-exclusive Special Research Story will be available. Plus, it’s possible that additional steps to the already released Season 10 Special Research (referred to as “Let’s GO!” in-game, but called An Everyday Hero in official Pokémon GO blog and social media posts) will be released during the event.
A Mystic Hero
Team Mystic Leader Blanche needs some help from all Trainers, not just those who proudly represent Team Mystic. It is unclear if this Special Research is free or requires a paid ticket. The big draw to this Special Research is that Trainers will be rewarded with a special Costumed Lapras* (wearing a Blanche-themed accessory).
