Pokémon GO’s Season of World of Wonders’ Cleffa Hatch Day event guide

Pokémon GO’s quarterly Hatch Day event is back and this time Cleffa is being featured. Before the event kicks off, there will be some extra bonuses available during the aptly named Cleffa Hatch Day Extended Bonuses “event”. So with your Egg inventory cleared out, you’ll be ready to collect (and hatch) as many 2 km Eggs as you can when the main event happens on Sunday. Pokémon GO’s Season of World of Wonder – Cleffa Hatch Day

Begins: Sunday, April 28th, 2024 at 2 p.m. your local time.

Ends: Sunday, April 28th, 2024 at 5 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon featured – Cleffa

 

 

Cleffa is the star of this Hatch Day event. Trainers hoping to hatch one (or even a Shiny Cleffa) will have better luck thanks to 2 km Eggs obtained during the event.

 

Event Bonuses

• 2× Candy from hatching Eggs
• You’ll have an increased chance of hatching Shiny Cleffa!
  • From 2 km Eggs obtained during the event.
• 2 km Eggs will drop more frequently from PokéStops
• 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during this time.
  • This bonus is from the Cleffa Hatch Day Extended Bonuses “event” that begins on Friday, April 26th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.

 

If Trainers purchase the Paid Timed Research, the following bonus will also be active for them during the event:

• 2× Hatch Stardust

 

The Rediscover Kanto event also takes place at the same time as the Cleffa Hatch Day event, so the following bonuses will also be active:

• Increased XP for a seven-day PokéStop spin streak.
• Increased XP for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak.
• Friendship levels will increase faster than normal through opening Gifts, trading Pokémon, or battling together in raids, Gyms, or Trainer Battles!
• Increased chance to encounter Shiny Bulbasaur, Shiny Charmander, and Shiny Squirtle in their respective biomes!

 

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live.

• Hatch Box Bundle (925 PokéCoins): 5 Super Incubators, 5 Incubators, and 2 Lucky Eggs.

 

The following boxes will be available only at the Pokémon GO Web Store:

• Ultra Hatch Box (US$9.99): 9 Golden Razz Berries, 9 Super Incubators, and 3 Remote Raid Passes.
• Ultra Hatch Box (US$19.99): 15 Super Incubators, 10 Incubators, and 5 Poffins.

 

Eggs

The following Pokémon will be hatching from Eggs that are obtained during the event:

• 2 km Eggs
  • 1-Egg Rarity: Cleffa*.

 

Notes:

• Pokémon marked with an * means that “If you’re lucky, you might hatch a Shiny one!”
• You’ll have an increased chance of hatching Shiny Cleffa!
  • From 2 km Eggs that are obtained during the event.

 

Timed Research – Free (Cleffa Hatch Day) and Paid (Cleffa Hatch Day Premium Timed Research)

There will be two Timed Research quests available during the event – one free and one paid. Regardless of whichever Timed Research Trainers wish to complete, please keep in mind that Timed Research quests have deadlines. Trainers must complete this Timed Research and claim all rewards before Sunday, April 28th, 2024 at 5 p.m. your local time.

 

Free Timed Research – Cleffa Hatch Day

A Timed Research quest will be active during the event. Completing this Timed Research will reward Trainers with 1 Super Incubator and XP. A complete list of tasks and the rewards will be shared here once the event is live.

 

• Task: Hatch an Egg
  • Reward: 500 XP
• Completion Rewards: 1,000 XP and 1 Super Incubator

 

Paid Timed Research – Cleffa Hatch Day Premium Timed Research

During the Cleffa Hatch Day event, Trainers can purchase a ticket to access an event-themed Timed Research. For US$0.99 OR US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll get the Cleffa Hatch Day Timed Research which rewards Trainers with the following items (if tasks are completed within the time limit): 1 Star Piece, 1 Super Incubator, and XP. Trainers will also get an additional bonus activated during the event: 2× Hatch Stardust.

According to Niantic, “[t]ickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).” Tickets can also be gifted to Trainers you’re friends with provided that you have a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with them. This can be done via the in-game shop and by selecting the “Gift” button instead of the “Buy” button. Tickets purchased for friends are nonrefundable as well.

 

• Task: Hatch an Egg
  • Reward: 500 XP
• Task: Earn 2,000 Stardust
  • Reward: 500 XP
• Task: Explore 2 km
  • Reward: 500 XP
• Completion Rewards: 1,000 XP, 1 Incubator, and 1 Star Piece

 

PokéStop Showcase

During the event, PokéStop Showcases will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest event-themed Pokémon being requested. This section will be updated once the event starts.

• Saturday, April 27th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, April 28th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: Cleffa and Clefairy
