Niantic is hosting an informal collab event for Trainers attending the beginning of this year’s London Games Festival. Trainers can visit the Battersea Power Station and get some in-game bonuses, Timed Research, and lure a PokéStop or two to see if Unown L appears! Please note that while the London Games Festival 2024 takes place from April 9th – 25th, this Pokémon GO event will start prior to the event and end almost one week into the festival’s start date.

Pokémon GO’s Season of World of Wonder – London Games Festival 2024

Begins: Friday, March 29th, 2024 (exact time not specified, possibly at 10 a.m. your local time)

Ends: Monday, April 15th, 2024 at (exact time not specified, possible at 8 p.m. your local time)

 

Pokémon featured – Red Party Hat Pikachu and Unown L

 

 

  • Red Party Hat Pikachu (Costumed Pikachu): This party hat-wearing Pikachu is back again this year! You’ll be able to catch this Pikachu as a reward catch encounter from Timed Research obtained at the event space. There is also a chance that this Pikachu may be part of the Field Research reward pool.
    • Note: Going forward, these Pokémon will be referred to as “Costumed” rather than the exact outfit they are wearing.
  • Unown L: If you’re lucky, Lured PokéStops in the Battersea Power Station area may attract Unown L.
    • Note: Any Unown L that spawns during the event cannot be Shiny.

 

Event Bonuses

The following bonuses will only be active when playing in the Battersea Power Station area of the event:

  • Lure Modules (excluding Golden Lure Modules) will last for 3 hours.
  • Lured PokéStops have a chance of attracting Unown L.
    • Shiny Unown L will not be activated for this event.
  • 2x Buddy assist chance
  • 1/2 Stardust cost for trades

 

Event Boxes

Trainers in the UK and Ireland will get an exclusive discount on a bundle.

  • Unnamed Bundle (320 PokéCoins): 2 Incense, 2 Lucky Eggs, and 2 Super Incubators

 

Timed Research – Me, You, and Pikachu!

A Timed Research quest called Me, You, and Pikachu! will be active during the event and can be obtained when entering the Battersea Power Station area at the event.

Field Research Tasks

There will be event-exclusive Field Research Tasks available and the rewards include the Pokémon encounters (that haven’t been specified yet). These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active in the Battersea Power Station area at the event.

  • Task: Catch 10 Pokémon
    • Reward: Galarian Weezing* OR Galarian Mr. Mime* OR Lapras* OR Furfrou* OR Goomy* OR Jangmo-o Encounter
  • Task: Earn 6 hearts with your Buddy
    • Reward: Galarian Weezing* OR Galarian Mr. Mime* OR Lapras* OR Furfrou* OR Goomy* OR Jangmo-o Encounter
  • Task: Send 5 Gifts and attach a Sticker to each
    • Reward: Galarian Weezing* OR Galarian Mr. Mime* OR Lapras* OR Furfrou* OR Goomy* OR Jangmo-o Encounter
