The last weekend before Christmas is going to be a busy one in Pokémon GO! Before the Winter Holiday Part 1 event switches over to is Part 2 edition, Trainers will get to partake in a weekend of more bonuses, Collection Challenges, and a new Pokémon debut. Following Hisuian Samurott’s lead, Wyrdeer will be joining Pokémon GO via its very own Raid Day event. Yet, Trainers can also catch one during this weekend if a Collection Challenge is completed thanks to the Winter Wonderland event! (For more details about the Season of Timeless Travels, you can check out our overall Season of Timeless Travels guide hub.)

Since the Wyrdeer Raid Day event overlaps with two other events, some information from those events has been included. For more details about those events, you can check out the dedicated guides for the Pokémon GO’s Season of Timeless Travels’ Winter Holiday Part 1 event guide and Pokémon GO’s Season of Timeless Travels’ Winter Wonderland event guide.

Now, check out what’s happening during the Wyrdeer Raid Day event with our guide below:

Pokémon GO’s Season of Timeless Travels – Wyrdeer Raid Day

Begins: Saturday, December 23rd, 2023 at 2 p.m. your local time.

Ends: Saturday, December 23rd, 2023 at 5 p.m. your local time.

Pokémon debuts – Wyrdeer

Wyrdeer enters the scene in Pokémon GO during the Winter Wonderland and Wyrdeer Raid Day events. (Yes, including its shiny version!) While Trainers can only battle Wyrdeer for three hours on Saturday, December 23rd, 2023 (besides jumping time zones with Remote Raid Passes), there will be another way to catch ’em. A variety of Collection Challenges will be available (via the Winter Wonderland event) and at least one of them will reward Trainers with a catch encounter Wyrdeer – only if you complete it in time!

Event Bonuses

  • Wyrdeer will appear more frequently in raids.
  • You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Wyrdeer.
  • Up to five additional daily Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs during the event and up to two hours afterward.
  • The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 10 on Friday, December 22nd, 2023, at 4 p.m. PT to Saturday, December 23rd, 2023, at 7 p.m. PT.

The Winter Wonderland event overlaps with this Raid Day event. So the following bonuses will also be active:

  • 2× XP for winning Raid Battles.
  • Up to five Special Trades can be made a day.
  • Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust.

Plus, this event also overlaps with the Winter Holiday Part 1 event, so the following bonuses will be active (during the entire Winter Wonderland event):

  • 2× XP for catching Pokémon OR 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon
    • Only one can be chosen. Trainers will get to pick when participating in the free Winter Wishes Timed Research
  • Increased XP and Stardust from opening Gifts

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live.

  • Great Raid Box (650 PokéCoins, no purchase limit): 3 Remote Raid Passes, 2 Premium Battle Passes, and 10 Max Revives.
