The global edition of the Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh event is almost here. Leading up to the event this week will be a prep event for Trainers. It’s time to stock your item bag full of Poké Balls and also get an early start catching some Sinnoh region Pokémon. Pokémon GO’s Season of Timeless Travels – Road to Sinnoh

Begins: Monday, February 19th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon featured – Sinnoh Region Pokémon

 

 

There won’t be any new Pokémon debuts during the Road to Sinnoh event (ignore the Costumed Pikachu in the image above – they’ll be available during the GO Tour event this weekend). Instead, the Road to Sinnoh event will spotlight the Sinnoh region Starters and Legendary Pokémon.

 

Event Bonuses

  • 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.
  • Increased chance of obtaining 2 km Eggs from spinning PokéStops or Gyms.
  • The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 10 from Monday, February 19th, 2024 to Thursday, February 22nd, 2024.
  • There will be no limit on Remote Raids from Friday, February 23rd, 2024 to Sunday, February 25th, 2024.

 

Additional bonuses are available via two paid Timed Research tickets – the Road to Sinnoh: Raids Timed Research and Road to Sinnoh: Hatch Timed Research. More details can be found at the end of this guide.

 

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live.

  • Catch Box (290 PokéCoins, purchase limit 1): 100 Poké Balls and 1 Lucky Egg.
  • Great Storage Box (550 PokéCoins, purchase limit 3): 1 Pokémon Storage upgrade, 1 Item Bag upgrade, 1 Premium Battle Pass, and 1 Remote Raid Pass.
  • Great Raid Box (715 PokéCoins, no purchase limit): 2 Premium Battle Passes, 3 Remote Raid Passes, and 2 Super Incubators.
  • Ultra Raid Box (2,750 PokéCoins, purchase limit 3): 50 Premium Battle Passes and 10 Max Revives.

Wild Encounters

  • The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild: Turtwig*, Chimchar*, and Piplup*.
    • If you’re lucky, you might encounter the following Pokémon: Grotle, Monferno, and Prinplup.

The following Pokémon will be hatching from Eggs that are obtained during the event:

  • 2 km Eggs

Standard Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:

  • One-Star Raids: Turtwig*, Chimchar*, and Piplup*.

      • The Five-Star Raid lineup will change daily.
      • Each day of the event will have a Raid Hour event (happening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. your local time).
      • Uxie*, Mesprit*, and Azelf* are regional exclusives and will only appear in specific areas:
        • Uxie*: Asia-Pacific region
        • Mesprit*: Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India
        • Azelf*: the Americas and Greenland

Featured Attack for Darkrai, Cresselia, Heatran, and Giratina (Origin Forme)

During their respective Raid Hour events, Darkrai*, Cresselia*, Heatran*, and Giratina (Origin Forme)* will know specific attacks (when successfully caught).

Darkrai will know the attack Sludge Bomb (Charged Attack) when caught from Five-Star Raids on Monday, February 19th, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. your local time.

Sludge Bomb’s (Charged Attack) stats are as follows:

  • Trainer Battles:  80 power
  • Gyms and Raids: 80 power

 

Cresselia will know the attack Grass Knot (Charged Attack) when caught from Five-Star Raids on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. your local time.

Grass Knot’s (Charged Attack) stats are as follows:

  • Trainer Battles:  90 power
  • Gyms and Raids: 90 power

 

Heatran will know the attack Magma Storm (Charged Attack) when caught from Five-Star Raids on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. your local time.

Magma Storm’s (Charged Attack) stats are as follows:

  • Trainer Battles: 65 power
  • Gyms and Raids: 75 power

 

Giratina (Origin Forme) will know the attack Shadow Force (Charged Attack) when caught from Five-Star Raids on Friday, February 23rd, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. your local time.

Shadow Force’s (Charged Attack) stats are as follows:

  • Trainer Battles: 120 power
  • Gyms and Raids: 140 power

 

Timed Research – Road to Sinnoh: Raid Challenge

A Timed Research quest called Road to Sinnoh: Raid Challenge will be active during the event. A complete list of tasks for all routes and the rewards will be shared here once the event is live.

 

  • Task: Win 2 Raids
    • Reward: Cresselia* Encounter
  • Task: Win 4 Raids
    • Reward: Heatran* Encounter
  • Task: Win 6 Raids
    • Reward: Giratina (Origin Forme)* Encounter
  • Task: Win 8 Raids
    • Reward: Darkrai* Encounter
  • Completion Rewards: 5 Dialga Candies, 5 Palkia Candies, and 5 Giratina Candies.

Timed Research Reminder – Global Unlock: Ghost in the Machine

A Timed Research quest called Global Unlock: Ghost in the Machine is available via the Pokémon GO Offer Redemption page and inputting the code 0HY0UF0UNDM3. This was discovered just prior to the Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Los Angeles event (and accidentally rolled out globally to all Trainers before it was even announced). This Timed Research will expire at the end of the Global version of the GO Tour: Sinnoh event (Sunday, February 25th, 2024 at 6 p.m. your local time).

 

  • Task: Catch 30 Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region
    • Reward: 10 Rotom Candies
  • Completion Rewards: 479 Stardust, 479 XP, and Rotom* Encounter

Field Research Tasks

There will be event-exclusive Field Research Tasks available and the rewards include the following rewards: Turtwig Candies, Chimchar Candies, Piplup Candies, Poké Balls, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and Sinnoh Stones. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.

A GO Tour-focused Special Research Story will still be available (it was released last week to all Trainers, prior to the GO Tour: Sinnoh – Los Angeles event). It is a branching Special Research and will ask you to choose between the Diamon version or the Pearl version.

During the event, PokéStop Showcases will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest Pokémon being asked for.

Stickers

The assorted Pokémon GO Tour-themed stickers will still be available. They feature Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Dialga (and its Origin Forme), Palkia (and its Origin Forme), Giratina (Origin Forme), Oshawott, Cyndaquil, and Rowlet. You can get them by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and/or purchasing them from Pokémon GO’s in-game shop (with PokéCoins) during the event.

 

 

Avatar Items

New avatar items themed after Giratina, Diamond and Pearl Clans, Team Galatic, and GO Fest will be promoted during this event (as they were made available at the start of the Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Los Angeles event). They will be available for purchase (with PokéCoins) via the in-game shop. These avatar items will still be available to purchase after the conclusion of this event.

The new avatar items are the following: Giratina Helmet (250 PokéCoins), Giratina Wings (250 PokéCoins), Giratina Jacket (200 PokéCoins), Diamond Clan Outfit (400 PokéCoins), Diamond Clan Boots (150 PokéCoins), Pearl Clan Outfit ( 400 PokéCoins), Pearl Clan Boots (150 PokéCoins), Team Galactic Outfit (500 PokéCoins), and GO Tour 2024 Tee (Free, 0 PokéCoins).

 

 

Paid Tickets – Road to Sinnoh: Raids and Road to Sinnoh: Hatch

During the Road to Sinnoh event, Trainers can purchase a ticket to access an event-themed Timed Research. There are two different tickets and they are both priced at US$4.99 OR US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency) each. Also, both tickets can be purchased as a bundle on the Pokémon GO Web Store for $9.99 and will include a bonus Egg Incubator.

Road to Sinnoh: Raids Timed Research will give Trainers Raid-themed bonuses and the following rewards (if tasks are completed within the time limit): 10 Dialga Candies, 10 Palkia Candies, 5 Heatran Candies XL, 5 Giratina Candies XL, 5 Cresselia Candies XL, 5 Darkrai Candies XL, and Eevee Mask (Avatar Item).

Road to Sinnoh: Hatch Timed Research will give Trainers Egg Hatching-themed bonuses and the following rewards (if tasks are completed within the time limit): two Chatot* encounters, two Pachirisu* encounters, two Carnivine* encounters, and Pikachu Mask (Avatar Item).

Sales for this Timed Research will go live on Monday, February 19th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time (and sales will end on Sunday, February 25th, 2024 at 6 p.m. your local time). According to Niantic, “[t]ickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).” Tickets can also be gifted to Trainers you’re friends with provided that you have a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with them. This can be done via the in-game shop and by selecting the “Gift” button instead of the “Buy” button. Tickets purchased for friends are nonrefundable as well.

Please keep in mind that Timed Research quests have deadlines. Trainers must complete the Road to Sinnoh: Raids and/or Road to Sinnoh: Hatch Timed Research by Sunday, February 25th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.

Bonuses will also be active until Sunday, February 25th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.
