The 2024 Pokémon Europe International Championships are happening this weekend at the ExCeL London in London, England. Competitors will be battling it out in Pokémon GO, Pokémon TCG, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and Pokémon UNITE to secure an invitation to Pokémon Worlds in August. To celebrate the event, Pokémon GO’s GO Battle League will be increasing the daily battle set limit. There will be Timed Research, but that will only be available via Twitch Drops. Pokémon GO’s Season of World of Wonders – 2024 Pokémon Europe International Championships

Begins: Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 at 12 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Sunday, April 7th, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. your local time.

 

Event Bonuses

  • The maximum number of sets you can play per day will be increased from five to 10—for a total of 50 battles—from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. your local time.

 

For Trainers that are at the 2024 Pokémon Europe International Championships, the following bonuses will be active only at the event:

  • 100 additional Stardust per catch
  • 3-hour standard Lure Module duration
  • Event-themed Pokémon attracted to standard Lure Modules
  • Event-exclusive Timed Research now available (Lured Up! and Everyone Starts Somewhere Timed Research)
  • Three Special Trades for the day

 

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live.

 

Active Leagues

The following leagues will be active from Friday, March 29th, 2024 at 1 p.m. PST (GMT −8)  to Friday, April 5th, 2024 at 1 p.m. PST (GMT −8):

  • Great League
    • Pokémon must be at or below 1,500 CP to enter.
  • Ultra Premier
    • Pokémon must be at or below 2,500 CP to enter.
    • Legendary Pokémon, Mythical Pokémon, and Ultra Beasts are not eligible.

 

The following leagues will be active from Friday, April 5th, 2024 at 1 p.m. PST (GMT −8)  to Friday, April 12th, 2024 at 1 p.m. PST (GMT −8):

  • Ultra League
    • Pokémon must be at or below 2,500 CP to enter.
  • Jungle Cup: Great Leauge
    • Pokémon must be at or below 1,500 CP to enter.
    • Only Normal-, Grass-, Electric-, Poison-, Ground-, Flying-, Bug-, and Dark-type Pokémon are eligible.
    • The following Pokémon are not eligible: Gligar and Galarian Stunfisk.

 

Twitch Drops (Timed Research)

According to Niantic, “For the entire weekend of Friday, April 5th, through Sunday, April 7th, 2024, you’ll be able to watch thrilling Pokémon battles live from London, England. And on top of that, Trainers who watch at least 30 minutes of the EUIC livestream can receive a code via Twitch Drops for an exclusive Timed Research opportunity to catch the Pokémon used by LNDsRargef, winner of the 2024 Latin America International Championships!”

Trainers can watch the livestream on the official Pokémon GO Twitch channel and the official Pokémon YouTube channel. To get the Timed Research, you must watch via Twitch for at least 30 minutes. (For more information about Twitch Drops, check out this  Pokémon Support page.)

The livestream will be available during the following times:

  • Friday, April 5th, 2024: 1 a.m. PT | 4 a.m. ET to 1 p.m. PT | 4 p.m. ET
  • Saturday, April 6th, 2024: 1 a.m. PT | 4 a.m. ET to 1 p.m. PT | 4 p.m. ET
  • Sunday, April 7th, 2024: 1 a.m. PT | 4 a.m. ET to end of event

 

Timed Research – 2024 Pokémon LAIC’s Champion

According to Pokémon.com, this Timed Research will reward Trainers with “encounters with Lickitung, Lanturn, Umbreon, Gligar, Medicham, and Charjabug, plus additional rewards of 50 Meditite Candy, 10,000 Stardust, and one Charged TM.”

The 2024 Pokémon Europe International Championships bonus overlaps with two events in Pokémon GO: the Sizeable Surprises event and the April 2024 Community Day Classic event.
