Another Mega Evolution makes its way to Pokémon GO and this time it’s Mega Heracross. Treated as a regional exclusive in Pokémon GO, this will be the perfect time for Trainers around the world to finally add Heracross to their team and Pokédex. And Heracross’ shiny version if you’re lucky. To celebrate the debut, Mega Heracross will be getting their own Raid Day event, which means increased shiny rates, extra free Raid Passes during event hours, the daily limit raised on Remote Raid Passes, and more. (For more details about the Season of World of Wonder, you can check out our overall Season of World of Wonder guide hub.)

Now, check out what’s happening during the Mega Heracross Raid Day event with our guide below:

Pokémon GO’s Season of World of Wonder – Mega Heracross Raid Day

Begins: Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 2 p.m. your local time.

Ends: Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 5 p.m. your local time.

Pokémon debuts – Mega Heracross

Mega Heracross is finally here!

  • Mega Heracross: Debuting on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time, Mega Heracross will be available to challenge in Mega Raids (until Thursday, April 25th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time). Heracross is a regional exclusive, so here’s your chance to catch one, and a shiny one if you’re lucky! (Shiny rates will be increased during the Mega Heracross Raid Day event happening on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. your local time).
    • Note: You’ll also need to compete in multiple Mega Heracross Mega Raids in order to get enough Heracross Mega Energy to Mega Evolve your own Heracross.

Event Bonuses

  • The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20 from Friday, April 12th, at 5 p.m. to Saturday, April 13th, 2024, to 8 p.m. PDT.
  • You can receive up to five additional daily Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms during the event.
  • You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Heracross from Mega Raids.
  • Once two or more Trainers successfully complete an in-person raid, more Pokémon will appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 15 minutes.

  • 2× XP for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.
  • Increased Candy for Nice Throws or better.
  • Increased Candy XL for Nice Throws or better for Trainers level 31 and up.
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Combee and Shiny Burmy.

Paid Event Ticket Bonuses

This ticket will be available for purchase until Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 5 p.m. your local time.
