Pokémon GO’s Season of World of Wonders’ DreamHack Melbourne event guide

Niantic will be attending DreamHack Melbourne and they’ll be hosting a little in-person Pokémon GO event in the area. Pokémon Trainers can visit Melbourne & Olympic Parks for some extra bonuses, Field Research tasks, and the return of the You, Me, and Pikachu! Timed Research. Trainers looking to add Unown D to their Pokédex will want to stop by too, as that particular Unown may spawn at lured PokéStops. Pokémon GO’s Season of World of Wonder – DreamHack Melbourne

Begins: Friday, April 26th, 2024

Ends: Sunday, April 28th, 2024 at 8 p.m. (GMT +10)

 

Pokémon featured – Party Hat Pikachu, Unown D, Hisuian Sneasel, Furfrou, Goomy, Sandygast, Jangmo-o, and Dubwool

 

 

Trainers that are in the Melbourne & Olympic Parks can encounter the following Pokémon:

• Party Hat Pikachu (Costumed Pikachu): Trainers can catch this Costumed Pikachu by completing the Me, You, and Pikachu! Timed Research.
• Unown D: Trainers looking to catch this Unown will have to lure PokéStops. If you’re lucky, you’ll attract Unown D to that PokéStop.
• Hisuian Sneasel, Furfrou, Goomy, Sandygast, Jangmo-o, and Dubwool: These six Pokémon will be available a catch reward encounters in Field Research obtained at the event. These Field Research tasks will be noted as “BONUS EVENT” in the bottom right-hand corner of the tasks’ box..

 

Event Bonuses

• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours. (This does not include Golden Lures.)
• Lure Modules have a chance of attracting Unown D.
• 2× Buddy Catch Assist chance.
• 1/2 Stardust cost for trades.

 

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live.

 

Timed Research – Me, You, and Pikachu!

A Timed Research quest called Me, You, and Pikachu! will be active during the event. A complete list of tasks and the rewards will be shared here once the event is live.

 

 

Note: Pokémon marked with an * means that “If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!”

 

Field Research Tasks

There will be event-exclusive Field Research Tasks available and the rewards include the following Pokémon encounters: Hisuian Sneasel*, Furfrou*, Goomy*, Sandygast, Jangmo-o, and Dubwool. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.

A complete list of tasks and rewards will be shared here once the event is live.

 

• Task: Catch 10 Pokémon
  • Reward: Hisuian Sneasel* OR Furfrou* OR Goomy* OR Sandygast OR Jangmo-o OR Dubwool Encounter
• Task: Earn 6 hearts with your Buddy
  • Reward: Hisuian Sneasel* OR Furfrou* OR Goomy* OR Sandygast OR Jangmo-o OR Dubwool Encounter
• Task: Send 5 Gifts and add a Sticker to each
  • Reward: Hisuian Sneasel* OR Furfrou* OR Goomy* OR Sandygast OR Jangmo-o OR Dubwool Encounter
