Another Masterwork Research is available in Pokémon GO! For 2024, Pokémon GO’s GO Tour is all about the Sinnoh and Hisu regions. The are two versions of this year’s GO Tour event – the ticketed in-person event in Pasadena, California (referred to officially as GO Tour: Sinnoh – Los Angeles) and the global edition. Since the worldwide version will be a free event with no paid ticket, that means the Masterwork Research that was included in the paid ticket for the Los Angeles event is sold by itself via Pokémon GO’s in-game store.

To see what this year’s Masterwork Research entails, check out our guide below:

Pokémon GO’s Season of Timeless Travels – Masterwork Research: Glimmers of Gratitude

For Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh, a new Masterwork Research will be released. To fit with the theme, it’ll center around the Sinnoh region and guarantee a Shiny Shaymin encounter (when the associated tasks are completed). This 7-step long Masterwork Research is only available through a paid ticket and there are two versions available:

  • Global version: Available for purchase from Monday, February 19th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, February 25th, 2024 at 6 p.m. your local time.
    • Steps are more difficult compared to the Los Angeles version.
  • Los Angeles version: Included with the event ticket for the in-person GO Tour: Sinnoh event (Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Los Angeles).

Both versions will have the same rewards: Shiny Shaymin encounter, Sinnoh region Pokémon encounters, various Pokémon Candies, XP, Stardust, Rare Candy XL or Rare Candy (depending on the Trainer level), Ultra Balls, Rocket Radars, Lure Modules (standard and specific, like Mossy Lure Module), Incense, and more. The only difference is the difficulty of tasks, but this has been true of previous Masterwork Research quests (i.e.: Masterwork Research: Wish Granted).

Tickets will be available for purchase in the in-game shop for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency, plus any applicable taxes and fees) from Monday, February 19th, 2024, at 10 a.m. until Sunday, February 25th, 2024, at 6 p.m. local time. Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins. Tickets to this event are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).
