While the Season of Timeless Travels does focus on the Sinnoh and Hisui regions, Niantic will be giving the Kanto region its own event. A throwback to the early days of Pokémon GO in 2016, select Pokémon will be featured. Also, good news for Ditto hunters, the transformation Pokémon will be disguised as different Kanto Pokémon for this event. Also, for Trainers that collect Lucky Pokémon, there’s been a new permanent update for the feature. (For more details about the Season of Timeless Travels, you can check out our overall Season of Timeless Travels guide hub.)

Now, check out what’s happening during the Adamant Time event with our guide below:

Pokémon GO’s Season of Timeless Travels – Adamant Time event

Begins: Monday, December 11th, 2023 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Friday, December 15th, 2023 at 8 p.m. your local time.

Pokémon featured – Vulpix, Ponyta, Krabby, Voltorb, Ditto, and more

There aren’t any new Pokémon debuts for the Adamant Time event. Instead, select Kanton Pokémon are being featured.

  • Vulpix, Ponyta, Krabby, and Voltorb were once common spawns in Pokémon GO back in 2016 (when the game only included nearly all Pokémon from the Kanto region). For this event, they’ll be spawning in the wild again as well as appearing as catch reward encounters for specific Field Research tasks.
  • Ditto will be disguised as different Pokémon in the wild for this event. Think twice when you encounter an Oddish, Koffing, Rhyhorn, or Goldeen.

Event Bonuses

  • 3× XP for catching Pokémon.

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live.

  • Boost Box Bundle (1,499 PokéCoins): 30 Lucky Eggs, 10 Incense, 2 Lure Modules, and 2 Poffins.

And the following bundles will only be available on the Pokémon GO Web Store and cost your local currency (instead of PokéCoins):

  • Boost Box (US$9.99): 30 Lucky Eggs, 10 Incense, 2 Lure Modules, and 2 Poffins.
  • Ultra Storage Box (US$4.99): 1 Item Bag upgrade, 1 Pokémon Storage upgrade, 1 Premium Battle Pass, and 1 Remote Raid.
