It’s a competitive, battling kind of weekend for Trainers in Pokémon GO! For one day only, Trainers can take a break from the Fashion Week event and bring their team of three Pokémon into GO Battle League. This time, Trainers can battle in more sets and get more Stardust rewards.

Ready to battle it out in Pokémon GO? Here are all the details of this event:

 

Pokémon GO’s Season of Light – GO Battle Day: Guzma

Begins: Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at 12 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. your local time.

 

 

Event Bonuses

  • The maximum number of sets you can play per day will be increased from five to 20, for a total of 100 battles!
  • 4× Stardust from win rewards

 

Timed Research

A special Timed Research will be available during the entire day and its tasks will focus on battling. Trainers who complete the research can look forward to the following rewards: XP, Rare Candy, an Avatar Item based off of Guzma’s watch and bracelet, and an Elite Charged TM. Niantic does note that Trainers who already own Guzma’s watch and bracelet, an avatar item, will not receive another one.

GO Battle Day

  • Task: Battle in the GO Battle League 5 times
    • Reward: 7,500 XP
  • Task: Battle in the GO Battle League 10 times
    • Reward: 7,500 XP
  • Task: Use 10 Super Effective Charged Attacks
    • Reward: 7,500 XP
  • Task: Power up Pokémon 10 times
    • Reward: 7,500 XP
  • Completion Reward: 3 Rare Candies, 1 Elite Charged TM, and Guzma’s watch and bracelet (Avatar Item).

 

Note: To earn the rest of the Guzma-inspired Avatar Items, you’ll have to reach Veteran, Expert, and Legend ranks. Check out the details on the official Pokémon GO blog.

 

Active Competitions

The following leagues will be active:

  • Master League (No CP limit)
  • Master Premer Classic (No CP limit, Legendary and/or Mythical Pokémon are banned, and Pokémon that have been powered up with Candy XL are not eligible)
