Featured last October, the Harvest Festival returns in Pokémon GO! While happening later this year, last year’s debut, Smoliv, will have another debut in the 2024 edition. Shiny Hunters, you can add Shiny Smoliv to your collection once the Harvest Festival begins. You’ll also have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Pumpkaboo (all sizes) and can seek them out (and other Grass-type Pokémon) with Moss Lure Modules. Pokémon GO’s Season of Max Out – Harvest Festival
Begins: Thursday, November 7th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.
Ends: Tuesday, November 12th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.
Pokémon debuts – Shiny Smoliv
There’s one debut during this event and it’s Shiny Smoliv! You can find Smoliv in the wild, via Mossy Lure Modules, Field Research task encounters, Collection Challenge reward encounters, and in the event’s Paid Timed Research. Of course, Shiny Dolliv and Shiny Arboliva also debut, but can only be acquired through evolving a Shiny Smoliv (plus having enough Smoliv Candies).
Event Bonuses
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Pumpkaboo.
- Mossy Lure Modules will attract different Pokémon during the event, such as Alolan Exeggutor, Snorlax, Pumpkaboo, and Smoliv.

Pumpkaboo attracted to Mossy Lure Modules will have a higher chance of being Pumpkaboo (Super Size) than those found in the wild.

Plus, the November 2024 Community Day featuring Mankey event happens during the Harvest Festival event. The following bonuses will be active on Sunday November 10th, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. your local time unless noted:
- Limited-time Evolution requirement: you can evolve Primeape into Annihilape after catching 20 Fighting-type Pokémon with Primeape as your buddy (active from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. your local time)
- 3× XP for catching Pokémon
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- Probably will not stack with the bonus from the Harvest Festival.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokemon
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours (Golden Lure Module excluded)
- Incense activated during the event will last for three hours (Daily Adventure Incense excluded)
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise! (Mankey photobomb spawn. Can be repeated up to 5 times.)
- Trades made will require 50% less Stardust (active from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. your local time)One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day (active from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. your local time)

Featured Attack for Lugia
Lugia will know the attack Aeroblast (Charged Attack) when caught from Five-Star Raids between Monday, November 4th, 2024, at 10 a.m. to Monday, November 18th, 2024, at 10 a.m. your local time. You can also teach Lugia this move with the aid of an Elite Charged TM.
Aeroblast’s (Charged Attack) stats are as follows:
- Trainer Battles: 180 power + chance to increase the user’s Attack stat
- Gyms and Raids: 180 power

Paid Ticket – Harvest Festival Premium Timed Research
During the Harvest Festival event, Trainers can purchase a ticket to access an event-themed Timed Research. For US$1.99 OR US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll get the Harvest Festival Timed Research which rewards Trainers with the following (if tasks are completed within the time limit): 2 Mossy Lure Modules, 1 Incense, 1 Lucky Egg, and Smoliv* encounters.
According to Niantic, “[t]ickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).” Tickets can also be gifted to Trainers you’re friends with provided that you have a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with them. This can be done via the in-game shop and by selecting the “Gift” button instead of the “Buy” button. Tickets purchased for friends are nonrefundable as well.
Please keep in mind that Timed Research quests have deadlines. Trainers must complete this Harvest Festival Premium Timed Research and claim all rewards before Tuesday, November 12th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.
