The quest for more Galarian Pokémon debuting in Pokémon GO continues! This time Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles) debuts alongside shiny versions of Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. Another Master Ball will be made available via a paid Masterwork Research. (For more details about the Season of Max Out, you can check out our Season of Max Out guide hub.)
Now, check out what’s happening during the Galarian Expedition event with our guide below:
Pokémon GO’s Season of Max Out – Galarian Expedition
Begins: Friday, October 4th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.
Ends: Friday, October 11th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.
Pokémon debuts – Zamazenta, Shiny Galarian Articuno, Shiny Galarian Zapdos, and Shiny Galarian Moltres
- Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles): Replacing Zacian (Hero of Many Battles) in Five-Star Raids is Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles). Zamazenta’s shiny version also debuts. You’ll be able to challenge Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles) in Five-Star Raids until Monday, October 14th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.
- Shiny Galarian Articuno, Shiny Galarian Zapdos, and Shiny Galarian Moltres: The Galarian bird trio (only found via Daily Adventure Incense, if you’re lucky) will have their shiny versions debut during this event. Yet, keep in mind that “first throw guarantee catch” for shiny Pokémon (in Raids and special circumstances) doesn’t apply here. Instead, shiny versions of these birds won’t immediately flee out of a broken PokéBall.

- No event bonuses were mentioned on the official blog post for this part of the event.

- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours (Golden Lure Module excluded)

The Galarian Expedition: Taken Over event overlaps with the Galarian Expedition event. Starting on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024 at 12 a.m. your local time, the following bonuses will be active until the event ends:
- Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons.

And the Mega Mawile Raid Day event takes place after this event, but one bonus will be active prior (and during the Galarian Expedition: Taken Over event, depending on your region):
- The Remote Raid limit will increase to 20 from Friday, October 11th, 2024 at 5 p.m. PDT to Saturday, October 12th, 2024 at 8 p.m. PDT.
