Pokémon GO’s Día de Muertos event is back, but is limited to Trainers in Latin America. Still, for Trainers abroad, you can cash in some Remote Raid Passes to participate in One-Star Raids featuring Costumed Cubone and Costumed Duskull. Pokémon GO’s Season of Max Out – Día de Muertos 2024

Begins: Friday, November 1st, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Monday, November 4th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon featued – Cubone and Duskull wearing  cempasúchil crowns

 

 

For the Día de Muertos 2024 event, Cubone, Marowak, Duskull, Dusclops, and Dusknoir wearing cempasúchil crown return.

  • Cubone wearing a cempasúchil crown (Costumed Cubone): You can find this Costumed Cubone in the wild by using Lure Modules, in One-Star Raids, and as a reward catch encounter via select Field Research task(s).
    • Marowak wearing a cempasúchil crown (Costumed Marowak): The only way to get this Costumed Marowak is to catch a Cubone wearing a cempasúchil crown and evolve ’em with 50 Cubone Candies.
  • Duskull wearing a cempasúchil crown (Costumed Duskull): Duskull can be found wild by using Lure Modules and completing specific Field Research tasks.
    • Dusclops wearing a cempasúchil crown (Costumed Dusclops): Thanks to the return of Costumed Duskull, you can get a Costumed Dusclops too, but only via evolving. You’ll need a Costumed Duskull and 25 Duskull Candies.
      • Dusknoir wearing a cempasúchil crown (Costumed Dusknoir): Similar to Costumed Dusclops, Costumed Dusknoir can only be obtained via evolving. You’ll need a Costumed Dusclops and 100 Duskull Candies.

 

Note: Going forward, these Pokémon will be referred to as “Costumed” rather than the exact outfit they are wearing.

 

Event Bonuses

  • 2× Catch XP
  • 2× Catch Stardust
  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 3 hours
  • Team GO Rocket balloons will appear more frequently (every 2 hours instead of 6 hours)
  • Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokéStops
  • A new Team GO Rocket-themed papel picado-inspired sticker will debut

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live. Daily bundles are also available and can be viewed online via the Pokémon GO Web Store.

  • Wicker Box (??? PokéCoins, purchase limiit ?): 15 Poké Balls, 1 Lure Module, and 3 Stickers (the papel picado-inspired ones).
  • Event Box (249 PokéCoins, purchase limit 10): 2 Premium Raid Passes, 1 Poffin, 1 Star Piece, 1 Lucky Egg, and 2 Stickers (the papel picado-inspired ones –1 PokéStop and 1 Team GO Rocket).

 

Lure Module Encounters

  • The following Pokémon will appear more frequently when Incense and/or Lure Modules are activated: Costumed Cubone*, Sunkern*, Sunflora, Paldean Wooper*, Costumed Duskull*, Flabébé (Orange)*, Flabébé (Yellow)*, and Flabébé (White)*.

Raids

Standard and Shadow Raids will be active during the event.

 

Standard Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:

  • One-Star Raids: 
    • Latin America only: Costumed Cubone*, Paldean Wooper*, Costumed Duksull*, and Flabébé (Yellow)*.
    • India only (Festival of Lights event): Costumed Pikachu* (saree/sari), Hisuian Voltorb*, Dedenne*, and Morelull*.
    • Halloween 2024 Part II (worldwide, until Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time): Costumed Pikachu* (witch hat), Costumed Froakie*, and Costumed Rowlet*.
  • Three-Star Raids: 
    • Costumed Gengar*, Umbreon*, and Costumed Drifblim* (until Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time).
    • ??? (starting on Monday, November 4th, 2024).
  • Five-Star Raids:
    • Darkrai* (until November 4th,2024 at 10 a.m. your local time).
    • Lugia* (starting on November 4th,2024 at 10 a.m. your local time).
  • Mega Raids:
    • Mega Banette* (until November 4th,2024 at 10 a.m. your local time).
    • Mega Manectric* (starting on November 4th,2024 at 10 a.m. your local time).

 

Shadow Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Shadow Raids:

  • One-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Machop*, Shadow Grimer*, Shadow Exeggcute*, and Shadow Sudowoodo.
  • Three-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Pinsir*, Shadow Sableye*, and Shadow Mawile*.
  • Five-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Suicune* (See Additional Notes).

 

Additional Notes:

  • Pokémon marked with an * means that “If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!”
    • Increased chance to encounter the following Shiny Pokémon in Raids: Gengar wearing a Spooky Festival costume, Umbreon, Drifblim wearing a Halloween Mischief costume, Froakie wearing a Pokémon Halloween costume, and Rowlet wearing a Pokémon Halloween costume.
  • Standard Raids:
    • Due to multiple events (and two being region locked) and Raid lineups changing with November, multiple Raid line ups will be active throughout the event.
  • Shadow Raids:
    • One- and Three-Star Shadow Raids will be available daily.
    • Five-Star Shadow Raids will be available on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), unless otherwise stated by Niantic.

 

Max Battles

  • One-Star Max Battles: Dynamax  Bulbasaur*, Dynamax Charmander*, Dynamax Squirtle*, Grookey, Dynamax Scrobunny, and Dynamax Sobble.
  • Three-Star Max Battles: ???.

  • Pokémon marked with an * means that “If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!”
  • Max Battles require Max Particles (MP):
    • One-Star Max Battles cost 250 MP.
    • Three-Star Max Battles cost 400 MP.
  • Dynamax  Bulbasaur*, Dynamax Charmander*, Dynamax Squirtle*, Dynamax Grookey, Dynamax Scrobunny, and Dynamax Sobble will be available in One-Star Max Battles after this event until Sunday, November 30th, 2024 at 9 p.m. your local time.

 

Field Research Tasks

There will be event-exclusive Field Research Tasks available and the rewards include the following Pokémon encounters: Costumed Cubone*, Alolan Marowak*, and Costumed Duskull*. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.

  • Task: Spin 10 PokéStops or Gyms
    • Reward: Costumed Cubone* encounter OR Costumed Duskull* encounter
  • Task: Win a Raid
    • Reward: Alolan Marowak* encounter
  • Task: Make a new Friend
    • Reward: Costumed Cubone* encounter
  • Task: Send 1 Gift and with a Sticker
    • Reward: Costumed Cubone* encounter OR Costumed Duskull* encounter

PokéStop Showcase

During the event, PokéStop Showcases will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest Pokémon being requested.

  • Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 at 6 a.m. to Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 at 10 p.m. your local time: Gastly and Gengar (Costumed versions can be submitted)
  • Monday, November 4th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Wednesday, November 6th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: ???

 

Stickers

There will be an assortment of papel picado-inspired event-themed stickers. These desgins were released at previous events, save for the Team GO Rocket design (that’s new for this year). You can get them by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and/or purchasing them from Pokémon GO’s in-game shop (with PokéCoins) during the event.

 

 

 

Avatar Items

The previously released Día de Muertos avatar items will be promoted during the event. They will be available for purchase (with PokéCoins) via the in-game shop. These avatar items will still be available to purchase after the conclusion of this event.

The avatar items are the following: Día de Muertos T-shirt (Free, 0 PokéCoins) and Día de Muertos Face Paint (200 PokéCoins).
