At long last, Guzzlord is now available in Pokémon GO! Teased in the game’s loading screen artwork during the Season of Light and featured in previously “found footage” videos shared by the official Pokémon GO social media channels, you can now encounter this Ultra Beast in Five-Star Raids (look for those Ultra Wormholes).

To celebrate Guzzlord’s debut, a special (and hungry) themed event will be taking place. You’ll find plenty of Pokémon with massive appetites in the wild, hatching from Eggs, and more. Plus, it seems like Team GO Rocket might stir up some trouble with their own Team GO Rocket takeover event. Didn’t know Shadow Mewtwo would be the final course…

For now, get ready to fill up your bag with Berries and see who’ll be attending this Greedy Gluttons event with our guide here:

Pokémon GO’s Season of Light – Greedy Gluttons

Begins: Wednesday, November 9th, 2022 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Thursday, November 17th, 2022 at 8 p.m. your local time.

Pokémon debuts – Guzzlord and Shiny Munchlax

Guzzlord debuts on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022 at 10 a.m. your local time and will be available in Five-Star Raids prior to, during, and after the Greedy Gluttons event. This Ultra Beast will disappear from these Ultra Wormhole Raids on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022 at 10 a.m. your local time. Still, that’s plenty of time (including two Raid Hour events) to team up with friends, defeat Guzzlord in a Raid battle, and hopefully successfully catch one during a post-win encounter.

Still, that’s not the only debut during this hungry-hungry-Pokémon event. Munchlax, the pre-evolved form of Snorlax, can now be Shiny! You’ll have to cross your fingers and get walking, as the only way to encounter a Shiny Munchlax during this event is to hatch ’em from 7 km Eggs.

Event Bonuses

  • 1/2 Hatch Distance for the first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget. The widget is available on iOS and Android devices. Read up on how to activate this feature via Niantic’s Support site.
