The Season of Heritage in Pokémon GO is mixing things up! While we’ll be helping out Professor Willow uncover the mysterious giant door at a historical cave site during the three-month-long season, there will be other events, research tasks, and more to complete. For January 2022, a month-long Timed Research task headed by Team Instinct’s leader, Spark, is available to all Trainers for free and it’s all about collecting XP. Aptly titled the XP Challenge, Trainers will be given a grand challenge of collecting 240,000 XP !

The XP Challenge is, thankfully, accumulative, and split into 15 different tasks with 15 different rewards and a completion reward.

Note: This Timed Research will only be available to Trainers who pre-purchase a ticket for Pokémon GO Tour: Johto prior to Monday, January 10th, 2022.
