Trainers in Mexico (and ones passing through) can find Hawlucha a bit easier thanks to an exclusive event. Field Research featuring Hawlucha, a Timed Research quest all about Fighting-type Pokémon, and exclusive event bundles will be available throughout September.

Pokémon GO’s Season of Max Out – Celebrating with Hawlucha
Begins: Sunday, September 1st, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.
Ends: Monday, September 30th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.
Pokémon featured – Hawlucha
Hawlucha is a region exclusive in Pokémon GO. Limited to Mexico (but has been found near the border on the United States side), Hawlucha will be easier to catch by being featured in specific Field Research tasks. These tasks will be available in Mexico throughout the entire month of September.

Timed Research – Choose Your Fighting Type
A branching Timed Research quest will be active during the event. Its three paths are based on different weight classes – lightweight, middleweight, and heavyweight. A different Fighting-type Pokémon is associated with each path: Scraggy* for lightweight, Machop* for middleweight, and Makuhita* for heavyweight. Regardless of which path is chosen, all rewards (besides the featured Pokémon) are the same.

Field Research Tasks
There will be event-exclusive Field Research Tasks available and the rewards include the following Pokémon encounters: Hawlucha. 701 Stardust and Rare Candy will also be given out as rewards. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.
