Well, this is a surprise… Niantic has rolled out an unannounced Kecleon event in Pokémon GO! It’s short (only three hours long), but Trainers looking for a Kecleon will have an easier time tracking ’em down. As for why today? Some are pointing out that Kecleon’s Pokédex number (352) is to blame. December 18th just happens to be the 352nd day of the year. So does that mean we’ll see Kecleon appear next year? Begins: Monday, December 18th, 2023 at 5 p.m. your local time.
Ends: Monday, December 18th, 2023 at 8 p.m. your local time.
Pokémon featured – Kecleon
Trainers who are looking for Kecleon (or even a shiny one!) will want to visit PokéStops during the Hidden Surprise event. Appearance rates for the color swap Pokémon have been boosted.
Event Bonuses
- Kecleon will be appearing more frequently at PokéStops.
This event takes place during the Winter Holiday Part 1 event, so the following bonuses will also be active:
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon OR 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon
- Only one can be chosen. Trainers will get to pick when participating in the free Winter Wishes Timed Research
- Increased XP and Stardust from opening Gifts
PokéStop Showcase
During the event, PokéStop Showcases will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest Kecleon.
