Trainers, we’ll be getting a GO Battle League-focused event happening alongside the Pokémon GO 2024 Pokémon World Championship event. Battle sets will be increased, four different Leagues will be active, and a free Timed Research will be available. In addition to all the bonuses and perks happening during the Pokémon GO 2024 Pokémon World Championship celebration event. Pokémon GO’s Season of Shared Skies – GO Battle Week: Shared Skies

Begins: Friday, August 16th, 2024 at 12 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. your local time.

 

Event Bonuses

  • 4× Stardust from win rewards. (This does not include end-of-set rewards.)
  • The maximum number of sets you can play per day will increase from five to 20 (for a total of 100 battles) from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. your local time.
  • Free battle-themed Timed Research will be available. Rewards include a wig avatar item inspired by Lana.
  • Pokémon encountered via GO Battle League rewards will have a wider variance of Attack, Defense, and HP.

 

Also, the 2024 Pokémon World Championships event will be happening during the GO Battle League: Shared Skies event, so the following bonuses will also be active:

  • Up to five Special Trades can be made each day.
  • You can use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.

 

Plus, the August 2024 Community Day Classic event will be happening on Sunday, August 18th, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. your local time, so the following bonuses will be active during that time period:

  • 1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
  • Incense activated during the event will last for three hours (Daily Adventure Incense excluded).
  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise! (Beldum photobomb spawn. Can be repeated up to 5 times.)

 

Also, if Trainers claim the code for Day 1: 2023 Pokémon World Champion Timed Research, the following bonuses will be active until Saturday, August 31st, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. your local time:

  • Sableye caught during this time will know Shadow Claw (Fast Attack) and Foul Play (Charged Attack).
  • One additional Candy XL for Trainers level 31 and above who complete Three-Star Shadow Raids.
    • Shadow Sableye may appear in these raids during the Honolulu 2024 Pokémon World Championships event!

 

And, if Trainers claim the code for Greetings from Honolulu! Timed Research, the following bonuses will be active until Saturday, August 31st, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. your local time:

  • Buddy will bring you Souvenirs more often
  • Higher chance of receiving a Tropical Shell or Tropical Flower Souvenir from your Buddy

 

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live.

  • TM Fanatic Box (US$9.99 or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency via the Pokémon GO Web Store): 15 Fast TMs, 20 Charged TMs, and 1 Star Piece.
  • TM Elite Master Box (US$19.99 or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency via the Pokémon GO Web Store): 2 Elite Fast TMs, 2 Elite Charged TMs, 6 Fast TMs, and 6 Charged TMs.

 

Free Timed Research – GO Battle Week: Shared Skies

A special free Timed Research will be available and its tasks will focus on battling. Trainers who complete the research can look forward to the following rewards: an Avatar Item based on Lana’s hairstyle (from Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun, and Pokémon Ultra Moon) and more. Niantic does note that Trainers who already own Lana-Style Wig, an avatar item distributed at Rank 20 (Ace Rank), will not receive another one.

 

 

Please keep in mind that Timed Research quests have deadlines. Trainers must complete and claim all rewards in this Timed Research by Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. your local time.

 

GO Battle Week

  • Task: Battle in the GO Battle League 5 times
    • Reward: 7,500 XP
  • Task: Battle in the GO Battle League 10 times
    • Reward: 7,500 XP
  • Task: Use 10 Super Effective Charged Attacks
    • Reward: 7,500 XP
  • Task: Power up Pokémon 10 times
    • Reward: 7,500 XP
  • Completion Rewards: 3 Rare Candies, 1 Elite Charged TM, and Lana-Style Wig

 

Active Leagues

The following leagues will be active:

  • Great League
    • Pokémon must be at or below 1,500 CP to enter.
    • 4× Stardust from win rewards (this does not include end-of-set rewards)
  • Ultra League
    • Pokémon must be at or below 2,500 CP to enter.
    • 4× Stardust from win rewards (this does not include end-of-set rewards)
  • Master League
    • No CP limit.
    • 4× Stardust from win rewards (this does not include end-of-set rewards)
  • Catch Cup: Great League Edition (also referred to as Catch Cup: Shared Skies: Great Edition)
    • Pokémon must be at or below 1,500 CP to enter.
    • Only Pokémon caught during the Season of Shared Skies are eligible.
      • Pokémon must be caught between Wednesday, June 1st, 2024 at 10 a.m. and Sunday, September 1st, 2024 at 9:59 a.m. your local time.
    • 4× Stardust from win rewards (this does not include end-of-set rewards)

 

PokéStop Showcase

During the event, PokéStop Showcases will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest Pokémon being requested.

  • Saturday, August 17th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, August 18th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: Mienfoo
  • Monday, August 19th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: All Fighting-type Pokémon
