While Trainers are partaking in Pokémon GO Fest 2024: New York City, the rest of the world will get a Water-type Pokémon event that features a debut. Shiny Ducklett (and, technically, Shiny Swanna) will be available in Pokémon GO globally for the first time. Pokémon GO’s Season of Shared Skies – Aquatic Paradise
Begins: Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.
Ends: Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.
Pokémon debuts – Shiny Ducklett
Shiny Ducklett debuts and, if you’re lucky, you can find one via Wild Encounters and reward catch encounters from the event’s paid Timed Research. If you’ve caught a Shiny Ducklett, you can evolve them into a Shiny Swanna with 50 Ducklett Candies.

- 2× XP for catching Pokémon
- Increased chance of encountering event Pokémon from Incense
- Incense-exclusive Pokémon appearances
Plus, the Inbound from Ultra Space event overlaps with the Aquatic Paradise event, so the following bonuses will be active starting on Monday, July 8th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time:
- The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20 from Monday, July 8th, to Thursday, July 11th, 2024.
- Trainers level 31 and up are guaranteed to receive Candy XL for trading Pokémon from Monday, July 8th, at 10 a.m. to Sunday, July 14th, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. local time.
Plus. a surprise Egg “event” (Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global – Early Access Eggs-travaganza!) is available to Trainers who have purchased a ticket to Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global. Paid Timed Research – Wandering Waddles
During the Aquatic Paradise event, Trainers can purchase a ticket to access an event-themed Timed Research (Wandering Waddles). For US$1.99 OR US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll get the Aquatic Paradise Timed Research which rewards Trainers with the following (if tasks are completed within the time limit): 5 Ducklett* encounters, 4 Lucky Eggs, 2 Incense, 4 Rare Candies, and 20 Ducklett Candies.
According to Niantic, “[t]ickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).” Tickets can also be gifted to Trainers you’re friends with provided that you have a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with them. This can be done via the in-game shop and by selecting the “Gift” button instead of the “Buy” button. Tickets purchased for friends are nonrefundable as well.
Please keep in mind that Timed Research quests have deadlines. Trainers must complete this Wandering Waddles Timed Research and claim all rewards before Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.
