Another Dynamax Pokémon debuts in Pokemon GO! This time Drilbur, a Ground-type Pokémon, will be entering the Dynamax pool (and is a good Dynamax Pokémon for battles against Dynamax Charmander, Gigantamax Charizard, Dynamax Beldum, and Dynamax Falinks). Pokémon GO’s Season of Max Out – Simply Groundbreaking

Begins: Friday, November 15th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Sunday, November 17th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon debuts – Dynamax Drilbur

 

 

As shown off in the November 2024 Content Update infographic, Dynamax Drilbur is here! Trainers can challenge Dynamax Drilbur in One-Star Max Battles. After successfully defeating Dynamax Drilbur, Trainers will get a catch encounter. If caught, Trainers will have a Drilbur that can Dynamax and can enter Max Battles (and a shiny one, if you’re lucky). Plus, this Dynamax Drilbur can be evolved into Dynamax Excadrill.

 

Event Bonuses

  • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Drilbur (for Trainers level 31 and up).

 

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live. Daily bundles are also available and can be viewed online via the Pokémon GO Web Store.

 

Wild Encounters

  • The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild: Jigglypuff*, Diglett*, Alolan Diglett*, Rhyhorn*, Phanpy*, Whismur*, Kricketot*, Woobat*, Drilbur*, and Noibat*.
    • If you’re lucky, you might encounter the following Pokémon: Excadrill*.

Raids

Standard and Shadow Raids will be active during the event.

 

Standard Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:

  • One-Star Raids: Galarian Meowth*, Sneasel*, Hisuian Sneasel*, Miltank*, and Scraggy*.
  • Three-Star Raids: Galarian Mr. Mime*, Hisuian Typhlosion*, Gabite, and Hisuian Braviary*.
  • Five-Star Raids: Lugia* (See Additional Notes).
  • Mega Raids: Mega Manectric* (See Additional Notes).

 

Shadow Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Shadow Raids:

  • One-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Machop*, Shadow Grimer*, Shadow Exeggcute*, and Shadow Sudowoodo.
  • Three-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Pinsir*, Shadow Sableye*, and Shadow Mawile*.
  • Five-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Suicune* (See Additional Notes).

    • One-Star Max Battles (Max Mondays, after the event):
      • Dynamax Drilbur* (only on Monday, November 18th, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. your local time)
  • Three-Star Max Battles: Dynamax Beldum*.

Featured Attack for Lugia

Lugia will know the attack Aeroblast (Charged Attack) when caught from Five-Star Raids between Monday, November 4th, 2024, at 10 a.m. to Monday, November 18th, 2024, at 10 a.m. your local time. You can also teach Lugia this move with the aid of an Elite Charged TM.

Aeroblast’s (Charged Attack) stats are as follows:

  • Trainer Battles:  180 power +  chance to increase the user’s Attack stat
  • Gyms and Raids:  180 power

 

Timed Research

A Timed Research quest will be active during the event. Rewards include Drilbur* encounters, Drilbur Candy, and Drilbur Candy XL. UPDATE: Niantic initially listed Drilbur Candy XL as a reward in the event’s official blog post. Prior to the start of the event, that reward was removed.

Prior to the start of the event, that reward was removed. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.
