Another new Pokémon game, another tie-in event in Pokémon GO. With the release of Pokopia, Ditto will also get to run amok in Pokémon, but only for a few days. Pokémon featured in Pokopia will be showcased during this event, but notably, Ditto will get two costume versions in Pokémon GO. And a new event-themed Special Background will be made available.

Pokémon GO’s Season of Precious Paths – Pokémon Pokopia Celebration Event

Begins: Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Monday, March 16th, 2026 at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon debuts – Ditto wearing a hat and Ditto wearing a cap

 

 

Since Ditto is the playable character in Pokopia, for this Pokopia-themed event, it’ll get two Costumed versions in Pokémon GO! Ditto wearing a hat and Ditto wearing a cap can be found in the wild if you happen to catch a Pokémon they’re impersonating. For this event, the Ditto changeup pool has had, well, a changeup.

Note: Going forward, Ditto wearing a hat and Ditto wearing a cap will be referred to as Costumed Ditto (Hat) and Costumed Ditto (Cap).

 

Event Bonuses

  • 2× XP for spinning PokéStops
  • 10× XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Sudowoodo and Shiny Zorua

 

Plus, the following Season of Precious Paths bonuses will be in effect:

  • Increased XP for a seven-day PokéStop spin streak
  • Increased XP and Stardust for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak
  • One additional Candy when trading Pokémon in-person
  • Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokémon in-person

 

And if Trainers reach specific ranks in the GO Pass and/or GO Pass Deluxe, then the following bonuses will also be active until Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time:

  • Tier 1 (Rank 25): 
    • Open up to 40 Gifts per day
    • Receive up to 125 Gifts per day from spinning PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs
    • Hold up to 10 additional Gifts in your Item Bag
  • Tier 2 (Rank 50):
    • 2× Daily Adventure Incense duration
  • Tier 3 (Rank 75):
    • Increased Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs

If GO Pass Deluxe is purchased, then the following bonuses will also be active when Rank 25 is reached, until Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time:

  • Tier 1 (Rank 25):
    • Open up to 50 Gifts per day
    • Receive up to 150 Gifts per day from spinning PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs
    • Hold up to 20 additional Gifts in your Item Bag

 

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live. Daily bundles are also available and can be viewed online via the Pokémon GO Web Store.

 

Wild Encounters

  • The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild: Bulbasaur*, Charmander*, Squirtle*, Pikachu*, Hitmonchan*, Scyther*, Marill*, Sudowoodo*, Combee*, Drilbur*, Timburr*, Zorua*, and Goomy*.

Ditto Changeup

  • The following Pokémon may actually be a Costumed Ditto in disguise: Bulbasaur*, Charmander*, Squirtle*, Pikachu*, Hitmonchan*, Scyther*, Marill*, Sudowoodo*, Combee*, Drilbur*, Timburr*, and Goomy*.

 

Notes:

  • Ditto caught during this event may be Shiny, if you’re lucky.
  • Ditto caught during this event may have an event-themed Special Background, if you’re lucky.

 

Raids

Standard and Shadow Raids will be active during the event.

 

Standard Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:

  • One-Star Raids: 
    • Pikachu (Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. your local time)
    • Gulpin*, Drilbur*, Timburr*, and Minccino* (Wednesday, March 11th, 2026 at 6 a.m. to Tuesday, March 16th, 2026 at 8 p.m. your local time)
  • Three-Star Raids: Lapras*, Snorlax*, and Dragonite*.
  • Five-Star Raids:
    • Articuno*, Zapdos*, and Moltres* (Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. your local time)
    • Zacian (Hero of Many Battles)* (Wednesday, March 11th, 2026 at 6 a.m. to Wednesday, March 17th, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time)
  • Mega Raids: Mega Steelix*.

There will be event-exclusive Field Research Tasks available and the rewards include encounters with event-themed Pokémon, items (Poké Balls, Razz Berries, Rare Candy), and Stardust. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.

Collection Challenge – Pokémon Pokopia Collection Challenge 1 and 2

Special, event-exclusive Collection Challenges will be available. This Collection Challenge will reward Trainers with Costumed Ditto (Cap)* encounter, Costumed Ditto (Hat)* encounter, and an addition to the Elite Collector medal. A complete list of what Pokémon must be caught/traded/evolved and the associated rewards will be added here once the event is live.

 

Pokémon Pokopia Collection Challenge 1

  • Catch: Pikachu, Combee, Scyther, and Zorua.
  • Completion Rewards: Costumed Ditto (Cap)* encounter (Special Background guaranteed)

Stickers

There will be an assortment of event-themed stickers featuring Pokémon featured in Pokopia. You can get them by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and/or purchasing them from Pokémon GO’s in-game shop (with PokéCoins) during the event.

 

 

Avatar Items

A new avatar item themed after Ditto will be released during this event. They will be available for free via the Style button on the Trainer “Me” section. This avatar item will still be available after the conclusion of this event.

The new avatar items are the following: Ditto Eye Mask (0 PokéCoins).
