Pokémon GO’s Season of Shared Skies’ Inbound from Ultra Space event guide

Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global is almost here, but Generation VII’s Ultra Beasts can’t wait. Shiny Buzzwole, Shiny Pheromosa, and Shiny Xurkitree debut worldwide, but they won’t be available in Five-Star Raids for long! Ultra Beasts will be swapping in and out daily, before all entering the Raid rotation on Day 1 of GO Fest 2024. Pokémon GO’s Season of Shared Skies – Inbound from Ultra Space

Begins: Monday, July 8th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon debuts – Shiny Buzzwole, Shiny Pheromosa, and Shiny Xurkitree (Worldwide debut)

 

 

For Inbound from Ultra Space, we’ll finally see the worldwide shiny debut for Shiny Buzzwole, Shiny Pheromosa, and Shiny Xurkitree. These three Ultra Beasts are region-locked in Five-Star Raids, but can be caught no matter your region thanks to reward catch encounters in a free Timed Research.

 

Special Backgrounds

 

 

Previously exclusive to in-person Pokémon GO events (like Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn and Pokémon GO Fest 2023), there was a chance that specific Pokémon caught at these events could have a different background on the Pokémon’s summary page (instead of having the elemental background, it would be the event-exclusive background). For the Inbound from Ultra Space event, Trainers (regardless of wherever they’re playing in the world) can get a Special Background for Ultra Beasts if the Ultra Beast is caught from a Five-Star Raid and if they’re lucky.

It has been confirmed that Ultra Beasts caught via Remote Raids can have the Special Background. It has also been confirmed that the first caught Ultra Beast of the day does not guarantee that Ultra Beast having a Special Background.

These Special Backgrounds will also be available during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global, but limited to specific Ultra Beasts on certain days.

 

Event Bonuses

• Remote Raid Pass Limit:
  • The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20 from Monday, July 8th, to Thursday, July 11th, 2024.
  • There will be no limit on Remote Raids from Friday, July 12th, to Sunday, July 14th, 2024.
• Trainers level 31 and up are guaranteed to receive Candy XL for trading Pokémon from Monday, July 8th, at 10 a.m. to Sunday, July 14th, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. local time.

 

Also, the Aquatic Paradise event overlaps with the Inbound from Ultra Space event, so the following bonuses will be available until Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time:

• 2× XP for catching Pokémon
• Increased chance of encountering event Pokémon from Incense
• Incense-exclusive Pokémon appearances

 

Plus. a surprise Egg “event” (Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global – Early Access Eggs-travaganza!) is available to Trainers who have purchased a ticket to Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global. Trainers will get the following bonuses from Monday, July 8th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. your local time:

• 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.
• Trainers can open up to 40 Gifts each day.
• Increased chance to encounter Shiny Pokémon from 7 km Eggs.

 

And if the paid Timed Research ticket is purchased, the following bonuses will be active until Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time:

• Additional 5,000 XP from completed raids
• 2× Stardust for winning Ultra Beast Raid Battles
• 1 additional Candy awarded for catching Pokémon in Five-star raids
• 1 additional Candy XL awarded for catching Pokémon in Five-star raids
• Up to 2 free Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms
  • Trainers that have both this ticket and the Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global ticket will be able to obtain up to 10 free Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms each day during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global on Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14, 2024.

 

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live.

The following boxes will be available exclusively through the Pokémon GO Web Store:

• Ultra Storage Box (US$4.99): 1 Item Bag upgrade, 1 Pokémon Storage upgrade, 1 Remote Raid Pass, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 1 Incubator, and 1 Super Incubator.
• Ultra Raid Box (US$19.99): 40 Premium Battle Passes and 3 Remote Raid Passes.

  • 2-Egg Rarity: Corsola*, Budew*, Maractus, Vullaby*, and Rockruff*.
  • 5-Egg Rarity: Larvesta* and Rockruff (Dusk Form Lycanroc evolution option)*.

A free Timed Research quest will be active during the event. Trainers who complete this Timed Research will receive the following rewards: Nihilego* encounter, Buzzwole* encounter, Pheromosa*encounter, Xurkitree* encounter, Celesteela* encounter, Kartana* encounter, Guzzlord* encounter, Stakataka encounter, and Blacephalon encounter. (But, keep in mind that Ultra Beasts caught from this Timed Research will not have Special Backgrounds.)

During the event, PokéStop Showcases will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest Pokémon being requested. This section will be updated once the event starts.

• Monday, July 8th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: All Water-type Pokémon

 

Global Challenge

A Global Challenge will be active during the event. It’ll begin for all Trainers on Sunday, July 7th, 2024 at 4 p.m. PT and conclude on Friday, July 12th, 2024, at 12 p.m. PT. (Another set of Global Challenges for Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global will begin on Friday, July 12th, 2024 at 1 p.m. PT.) If the challenge is met, Trainers will get the following rewards:

• Beast Balls will be available to use when encountering Ultra Beasts during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global (Saturday, July 13th, and Sunday, July 14th, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. your local time)
• Party Power will charge faster (when using Party Play in Raids) until Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time

 

• Global Challenge: Complete 30,000,000 Raid Battles
• Has the Global Challenge been met yet?: Yes

 

Paid Tmed Research – Inbound from Ultra Space Premium Timed Research

During the Inbound from Ultra Space event, Trainers can purchase a ticket to access an event-themed Timed Research. For US$4.99 OR US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll get the Inbound from Ultra Space Premium Timed Research which rewards Trainers with additional event bonuses and the following items (if tasks are completed within the time limit): 10 Cosmog Candies, 5 Nihilego Candy XL, 5 Buzzwole Candy XL, 5 Pheromosa Candy XL, 5 Xurkitree Candy XL, 5 Celesteela Candy XL, 5 Kartana Candy XL, 5 Guzzlord Candy XL, 5 Stakataka Candy XL, 5 Blacephalon Candy XL, 2,024 Stardust, and 1 Star Piece. (This Timed Research can also be purchased via the Pokémon GO Web Store for the same price, yet Trainers will relieve a bonus Premium Battle Pass.)

Sales for this Timed Research will go live on Monday, July 8th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time (and sales will end on Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at 6 p.m. your local time). According to Niantic, “[t]ickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).” Tickets can also be gifted to Trainers you’re friends with provided that you have a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with them. This can be done via the in-game shop and by selecting the “Gift” button instead of the “Buy” button. Tickets purchased for friends are nonrefundable as well.

Please keep in mind that Timed Research quests have deadlines. Trainers must complete this Inbound from Ultra Space Timed Research and claim all rewards before Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.
