The first event Pokémon (or Costumed Pokémon) for Pokémon GO’s Season of Shared Skies is here. Slakoth, Vigoroth, and Slaking are donning visors for the summer and beachy vibes. Yet, since these Pokémon are fond of nodding off and chilling, they aren’t the only debut. Shiny Komala is finally here in Pokémon GO! Also, Trainers will have another chance to get Snorlax with a nightcap (but they’ll need a Pokémon GO Plus + device). (For more details about the Season of Shared Skies, you can check out our Season of Shared Skies guide hub.)

Now, check out what’s happening during the Slumbering Sands event with our guide below:

Pokémon GO’s Season of Shared Skies – Slumbering Sands

Begins: Friday, June 7th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.

Pokémon debuts – Costumed Slakoth, Costumed Vigoroth, Costumed Slaking, and Shiny Komala

There are four debuts for this event and one notable return:

  • Slakoth wearing a visor (Costumed Slakoth): This Costumed Slakoth will be available to encounter in the wild and as a reward catch encounter in “free” and paid Timed Research and Field Research.
    • Vigoroth wearing a visor (Costumed Vigoroth): Trainers can add a Costumed Vigoroth to their team by evolving a Costumed Slakoth via 25 Slakoth Candies.
    • Slaking wearing a visor (Costumed Slaking): Trainers can add a Costumed Slaking to their team by evolving a Costumed Vigoroth via 100 Slakoth Candies
  • Shiny Komala: Starting with this event, Trainers might encounter a Shiny Komala if they’re lucky! During the event, Komala will be available in the wild, as a Field Research reward catch encounter, a Collection Challenge reward catch encounter, and in “free” and paid Timed Research quests.
  • Snorlax wearing a nightcap (Costumed Snorlax): Exclusive to the Pokémon GO Plus + device, this sleepy Snorlax will be available again to all Trainers who have connected the device to their Pokémon GO account in a Timed Research quest.

Note: Going forward, these Pokémon will be referred to as “Costumed” rather than the exact outfit they are wearing.
