The second half of this year’s Winter Holiday event in Pokémon GO is here! For this part, more Costumed Pokémon from previous Winter Holiday events will be available. In addition to that, Rolycoly and it’s evolutionary line will debut in game (so, yes, you’re also getting coal for the season). Please be aware that while Costumed Eevee is featured on the event’s banner, they won’t be available until the weekend during the Winter Weekend event that happens alongside with the Winter Holiday Part 2 event.

Pokémon GO’s Season of Precious Paths – Winter Holiday Part 2

Begins: Wednesday, December 24th, 2025 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Monday, December 29th, 2025 at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon debuts – Rolycoly, Carkol, and Coalossal

 

 

Rolycoly debuts in Pokémon GO, along with its evolutions Carkol and Coalossal. You can find Rolycoly in the wild (if you’re lucky) and in One-Star Raids. To get Carkoal and Coalossal, you’ll need the following:

  • Carkol: A Rolycoly and 25 Rolycoly Candies
  • Coalossal: A Carkol and 100 Rolycoly Candies

 

Also, some Costumed Pokémon from the Winter Holiday Part 1 event will be available as well as Costumed Pokémon from previous Winter Holiday events over the last few years.

Note: Going forward, these Pokémon will be referred to as “Costumed” rather than the exact outfit they are wearing.

 

Event Bonuses

  • Catching event-themed Pokémon in the wild may award items such as Fast TMs, Charged TMs, Silver Pinap Berries, Golden Razz Berries, and Rare Candy
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Stantler wearing a holiday outfit and Shiny Dedenne wearing holiday attire

 

Also, during the Winter Weekend event (Saturday, December 27th, 2025 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, December 28th, 2025 at 8 p.m. your local time), the following bonuses will also be active:

  • No daily limit for how many GO Points you can earn
  • Bonus daily quests for your GO Pass: Winter Holiday 2025
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Eevee wearing a holiday hat from Timed Research tasks

 

Plus, the following Season of Precious Paths bonuses will be in effect:

  • One additional Special Trade per day
  • Increased Stardust for the first catch of the day
  • Increased friendship bonus damage dealt by Pokémon in Raids

 

From Thursday, December 18th, 2025 at 10 a.m. to Monday, December 29th, 2025 at 8 p.m. your local time, the GO Pass: Winter Holiday 2025 will be issued to all Trainers. Bonuses tied to three different tiers will be available in both the free version and the deluxe version.

  • Free version:
    • Tier 1: 2× XP from sending Gifts
    • Tier 2: Additional items may be rewarded from opening Gifts
    • Tier 3: 50% more XP for winning Raid Battles
  • GO Pass Deluxe:
    • Tier 1: 2× Stardust from opening Gifts
    • Tier 2: 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period
    • Tier 3: 2× XP from catching Pokémon

 

And if Trainers purchase the GO Pass Deluxe for the December GO Pass, then the following bonuses will also be active until January 2nd, 2026 at 9 a.m. your local time:

  • Tier 1: 
    • Open up to 40 Gifts per day
    • Receive up to 125 Gifts per day from spinning PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs
    • Hold up to 10 additional Gifts in your Item Bag
  • Tier 2:
    • 2× Daily Adventure Incense duration
  • Tier 3:
    • Additional rewards for completing in-person Raids and Max Battles

  • GO Pass Deluxe: Winter Holiday 2025 + 10 Ranks (US$9.99 via Pokémon GO Web Store, purchase limit 1): 1 GO Pass Deluxe: Winter Holiday, +10 Ranks, 10 Ultra Balls, 5 Max Revives, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 5 Max Potions, and 120 Reward Points.
  • GO Pass Deluxe: Winter Holiday 2025 + 10 Ranks Ultra Box (US$14.99 via Pokémon GO Web Store, purchase limit 1): 1 GO Pass Deluxe: Winter Holiday, +10 Ranks, 20 Ultra Balls, 10 Max Revives, 2 Premium Battle Passes, 1 Egg Incubator, 1 Super Incubator, 10 Max Potions, and 180 Reward Points.

 

Wild Encounters

  • The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild: Alolan Vulpix*, Swinub*, Costumed Delibird*, Costumed Stantler*, Snorunt*, Spheal*, Snover*, Galarian Darumaka*, Vanillite*, Cubchoo*, Bergmite*, and Cetoddle*.
    • If you’re lucky, you might encounter the following Pokémon: Costumed Dedenne* and Rolycoly.

Eggs

The following Pokémon will be hatching from Eggs that are obtained during the event:

  • 7 km Eggs
    • 1-Egg Rarity: Costumed Pichu*, Smoochum*, Costumed Cubchoo*, Cryogonal*, and Snom.

Raids

Standard and Shadow Raids will be active during the event.

 

Standard Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:

  • One-Star Raids: Alolan Sandshrew*, Galarian Darumaka*, and Rolycoly.
  • Three-Star Raids: Galarian Mr. Mime*, Costumed Sudowoodo*, and Costumed Charjabug*.
  • Five-Star Raids: Zekrom* (See Additional Notes).
  • Mega Raids: Mega Glalie* (See Additional Notes).

 

Shadow Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Shadow Raids:

  • One-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Machop*, Shadow Grimer*, Shadow Sudowoodo, and Shadow Beldum*.
  • Three-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Pinsir*, Shadow Sableye*, and Shadow Mawile*.
  • Five-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Heatran* (See Additional Notes).

Field Research Tasks

There will be event-exclusive Field Research Tasks available and the rewards include the following Pokémon encounters: Costumed Pikachu* (both Santa hat and Holiday attire), Delibird*, and Costumed Psyduck*. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.

  • Task: Catch 10 Pokémon
    • Reward: 1,500 Stardust
  • Task: Catch 15 Pokémon
    • Reward: Costumed (Santa hat) Pikachu*  encounter OR Costumed (Holiday attire) Pikachu*  encounter
  • Task: Send 5 Gifts to Friends
    • Reward: Delibird* encounter
  • Task: Send 15 Gifts to Friends
    • Reward: Costumed Psyduck* encounter

PokéStop Showcase

During the event, PokéStop Showcases will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest Pokémon being requested. This section will be updated once the PokéStop Showcases are active.

  • Monday, December 22nd, 2025 at 10 a.m. to Wednesday, December 24th, 2025 at 8 p.m. your local time: Sudowoodo and Charjabug
  • Saturday, December 27th, 2025 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, December 28th, 2025 at 8 p.m. your local time: ???
  • Monday, December 29th, 2025 at 10 a.m. to Wednesday, December 31st, 2025 at 8 p.m. your local time: ???

 

Avatar Items

New avatar items themed after Charjabug and Sudowoodo will be still be available during this event. They will be available for purchase (with PokéCoins) via the in-game shop. These avatar items will still be available to purchase after the conclusion of this event.

 

 

The new avatar items are the following:

  • Charjabug Bag (200 PokéCoins)
  • Sudowoodo Holiday Sweater (200 PokéCoins)

 

There will also be a Snom-themed beanie, but that is only available via the GO Pass Deluxe version of the GO Pass: Winter Holiday 2025.
