The Season of Memories in Motion is all about celebrating Pokémon GO’s 10th anniversary, so Trainers will get to revisit three Pokémon that were featured in previous Research Day events. Lotad, Feebas, and Clamperl will available in event-exclusive Field Research as well as in three paid Timed Research quests.

Pokémon GO’s Season of Memories in Motion – Replay: Water Research Day
Begins: Saturday, March 21st, 2026 at 2 p.m. your local time.
Ends: Saturday, March 21st, 2026 at 5 p.m. your local time.
Pokémon featured – Lotad, Feebas, and Clamperl
Lotad, Feebas, and Clamperl will be featured for this Research Day event. Their shiny rates will be boosted and you can find them as reward encounters in Field Research tasks (free) and Timed Research (paid).
Additional Water-type Pokémon will be featured as wild encounters.
Event Bonuses
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Lotad, Shiny Feebas, and Shiny Clamperl.
- Increased chance of encountering the shiny versions of these Pokémon will be the same in Field Research tasks and Timed Research quests.
The Bug Out event will be happening during this event, so the following bonuses will be active too:
- There will be different Pokémon attracted to regular Lure Modules during the event.
- Paras, Combee, and Cutiefly attracted to regular Lure Modules will have an increased chance to be Shiny.
- And any additional bonuses earned from the GO Pass: Bug Out.
- Tier 1: 2× XP for catching Pokémon with Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.
- Tier 2: 2× Catch Candy
- Tier 3: 3× Catch Candy
Plus, the following Season of Memories in Motion bonuses will be in effect:
- Increased XP for a seven-day PokéStop spin streak.
- Increased XP and Stardust for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak.
- One additional Candy when trading Pokémon in-person.
- Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokémon in-person.
And if Trainers reach specific ranks in the GO Pass and/or GO Pass Deluxe, then the following bonuses will also be active until Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time:
- Tier 1 (Rank 25):
- Open up to 40 Gifts per day
- Receive up to 125 Gifts per day from spinning PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs
- Hold up to 10 additional Gifts in your Item Bag
- Tier 2 (Rank 50):
- 2× Daily Adventure Incense duration
- Tier 3 (Rank 75):
- Increased Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs.
If GO Pass Deluxe is purchased, then the following bonuses will active when Rank 25 is reached instead, until Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time:
- Tier 1 (Rank 25):
- Open up to 50 Gifts per day
- Receive up to 150 Gifts per day from spinning PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs
- Hold up to 20 additional Gifts in your Item Bag
Event Boxes
If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live. Daily bundles are also available and can be viewed online via the Pokémon GO Web Store.
- Replay: Water Research Day Ultra Ticket Box (US$1.99, Pokémon GO Web Store only): 1 Ticket (3 Paid Timed Research quests), 2 Rare Candies, and 24 Reward Points.
Wild Encounters
- The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild: Shellder*, Goldeen*, Magikarp*, Chinchou*, Remoraid*, and Mareanie*.

There will be event-exclusive Field Research Tasks available and the rewards include the following Pokémon encounters: Lotad*, Feebas*, and Clamperl*. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.

Paid Ticket – Replay: Water Research Day Premium Timed Research Ticket
During the Replay: Water Research Day event, Trainers can purchase a ticket to access three event-themed Timed Research quests which will all be issued at the same time. For US$1.99 OR US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll get the Lotad Premium Timed Research, Feebas Premium Timed Research, and Clamperl Premium Timed Research which rewards Trainers with the following (if tasks are completed within the time limit): Lotad* encounters, Feebas* encounters, Lotad* encounters, Stardust, and XP.
According to the fine print, “[t]ickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).” Tickets can also be gifted to Trainers you’re friends with provided that you have a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with them. This can be done via the in-game shop and by selecting the “Gift” button instead of the “Buy” button. Tickets purchased for friends are nonrefundable as well.
Please keep in mind that Timed Research quests have deadlines. Trainers must complete these Premium Timed Research and claim all rewards before Saturday, March 21st, 2026 at 5 p.m. your local time.
