Falinks has been in Pokémon GO since 2021, but gets to star in its very own Raid Day event thanks to the recent season being all about the Galar region. To sweeten the feature, Falink’s shiny version will debut. Plus, this event also overlaps with the GO All Out event (so there will be additional bonuses available). Pokémon GO’s Season of Max Out – Falinks Raid Day
Begins: Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at 2 p.m. your local time.
Ends: Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at 5 p.m. your local time.
Pokémon debuts – Shiny Falinks
While Falinks has been available in Pokémon GO since August 2021 (due to the Ultra Unlock Part 3: Sword and Shield event), its shiny version has been missing. Now, three years later, Shiny Falinks is here! During this Raid Day event, you’ll want to defeat Falinks in Three-Star Raids and hope luck is on your side when the reward catch encounter screen reveals which Falinks you can catch.
Event Bonuses
- Falinks will appear more frequently in Raids
- For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Falinks—if you’re lucky!
- Receive up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Falinks from Raids
- The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20 from Saturday, September 7th, at 5 p.m. to Sunday, September 8th, 2024, to 8 p.m. PDT.
Additional bonuses can be acquired when Trainers purchase the Falinks Raid Day Ticket. Once purchased, these bonuses will be active on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. your local time:
- Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a daily total of 14)
- Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
- 50% more XP from Raid Battles
- 2× Stardust from Raid Battles
Plus, the following bonuses will be active due to the GO All Out event:
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon
- 2× XP for evolving Pokémon

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live.
Raids
Standard and Shadow Raids will be active during the event. Yet, since this is a Raid Day event, Falinks Raids will be prioritized over all other Raids.
Standard Raids
The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:
- One-Star Raids: Galarian Meowth*, Galarian Slowpoke*, Galarian Zigzagoon*, Galarian Darumaka*, and Galarian Stunfisk*.
- Three-Star Raids: Galarian Weezing*, Azumarill, Lucario*, Garbodor, and Falinks*.
- Five-Star Raids: Kyogre* (See Additional Notes).
- Mega Raids: Mega Absol* (See Additional Notes).
Shadow Raids
The following Pokémon will be appearing in Shadow Raids:
- One-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Zubat*, Shadow Mareep, Shadow Pineco*, and Shadow Bagon*.
- Three-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Alolan Marowak*, Shadow Scyther*, and Shadow Lapras*.
- Five-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Raikou* (See Additional Notes).
Additional Notes:
- Pokémon marked with an * means that “If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!”
- Standard Raids:
- Kyogre* will be available after the event (in Five-Star Raids), until Saturday, September 14th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.
- Mega Absol* will be available after the event (in Mega Raids), until Saturday, September 14th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.
- Shadow Raids:
- One- and Three-Star Shadow Raids will be available daily.
- Five-Star Shadow Raids will be available on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), unless otherwise stated by Niantic.
PokéStop Showcase
During the event, a PokéStop Showcase will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest Pokémon being requested. This section will be updated once the PokéStop Showcase is active.
- Saturday, September 7th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble
Paid Ticket – Falinks Raid Day Ticket
During the Falinks Raid Day, Trainers can purchase a ticket to access additional bonuses. For US$4.99 OR US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll get four bonuses that’ll be active on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. your local time:
- Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a daily total of 14)
- Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
- 50% more XP from Raid Battles
- 2× Stardust from Raid Battles
According to Niantic, “[t]ickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).” Tickets can also be gifted to Trainers you’re friends with provided that you have a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with them. This can be done via the in-game shop and by selecting the “Gift” button instead of the “Buy” button. Tickets purchased for friends are nonrefundable as well.
Update (Friday, September 13th, 2024): Due to errors with the Falinks Raid Day Ticket, Trainers who purchased the ticket will be issued a free Timed Research. This Timed Research must be completed prior to March 9th, 2025.
