What is the Pokémon GO Holidays event?
The holidays are upon us, and nothing says holiday cheer quite like a new Pokémon GO event! This year, The Season of Heritage brings with it a brand-new Winter Holidays event, featuring new festive costumes, clothing options, and even the Pokémon GO debut of the Ice-type Bergmite!
When is the Pokémon GO Holidays event?
The event kicks off on December 16th, 2021 at 10 a.m. local time and runs through December 31st, 2021 at 8 p.m. local time. The event itself will be broken up into two parts: Part 1 will run from December 16th to December 23rd, 2021, and Part 2 takes place between December 23rd and December 31st, 2021.

Three festive bundles will be available in the shop.
- Special Box (480 PokéCoins): 50 Poké Balls, two Premium Battle Passes, two Super Incubators, three Star Pieces

- Adventure Box (1,480 PokéCoins): 18 Super Incubators, two Incubators, two Incense, four Star Pieces
Pokémon GO Holidays: Part 1 Overview
The following events are taking place in Part 1 of the holiday event. Part 1 runs from December 16th to the 23rd.
Story event
The Season of Heritage’s story event will continue in Pokémon GO Holidays.
After the first door mechanism activated and Pokémon like Druddigon emerged, Blanche and Professor Willow decide to take a break and celebrate with a gift exchange with the other team leaders!

New costume Pokémon
Six new costumed Pokémon will be available during the event. Best of all, they can all can be Shiny! Look out for Pikachu, Delibird, Stantler, Spheal, Cubchoo, and Glaceon, all dressed up in their holiday best!

Pokémon GO Holidays: Part 2 Overview
The following events are taking place in Part 2 of the holiday event. Part 2 runs from December 23rd to the 31st.
Timed Research
Two timed research events will be available. Each of these research events can trigger an encounter with Galarian Mr. Mime!
Winter Wonderland Event
A mini event called “Winter Wonderland” kicks off on Christmas Day at 10:00 a.m. local time and concludes on December 26th at 8:00 p.m. This event features a Collection Challenge, Field Research Encounters with Delibird, and an extended trading distance of 40 km!
A Collection Challenge focused on trading with your friends will be available from Saturday, December 25, 2021, to Friday, December 31, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
You will need to trade for the following Pokémon to complete this challenge.

- Spheal (Doesn’t need to be costumed)
- Snover
- Vanillite
- Cubchoo (Doesn’t need to be costumed)
Complete the challenge to encounter Galarian Mr. Mime!

Both Bergmite and Avalugg will make their Pokémon GO debut during Part 2 of this event.
