As we get closer to Halloween, fall is in full swing (at least for the Northern Hemisphere). To celebrate the bountiful harvests, a Harvest Festival event is happening in Pokémon GO. While Pumpkaboo is here to get everyone excited for Halloween, we do have a new addition from Paldea. Smoliv, the olive Pokémon, is joining Pokémon GO in this food-themed event. Along with this event, we’ll see the release of part 2 of the month-long paid Timed Research, Ticket of Treats. (For more details about the Season of Adventures Abound, you can check out our overall Season of Adventures Abound guide hub.)

Now, check out what’s happening during the Harvest Festival event with our guide below:

Pokémon GO’s Season of Adventures Abound – Harvest Festival

Begins: Thursday, October 12th, 2023 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 at 8 p.m. your local time.

Pokémon debuts – Smoliv, Dolliv, and Arboliva

Another Pokémon from Paldea joins Pokémon GO and it’s Smoliv! Not only that, but Smoliv’s evolutions will also be added to the game (you’ll just need the right amount of Smoliv Candy to add ’em to your Pokédex).

  • Smoliv: You can find Smoliv via Wild Encounters and a catch reward encounter for a specific Field Research task.
    • Dolliv: To get Dolliv, you’ll need to have a Smoliv and 25 Smoliv Candies. Then you can evolve that Smoliv into Dolliv.
      • Arboliva: To get Arboliva, you’ll need a Dolliv and 100 Smoliv Candies. Once you’ve acquired all those Smoliv Candies, you can evolve Dolliv into Arboliva.

Event Bonuses

  • Mossy Lure Modules activated during the event will last for two (2) hours.
  • Mossy Lure Modules have a higher chance of attracting Pumpkaboo.
  • Trainers will receive additional Pumpkaboo Candy for catching Pumpkaboo during the event.
