Flittle debuts in Pokémon GO during the Spring Marathon event! An event that’s all about celebrating the spring season by bringing back flower crown wearing Costumed Pokémon as well as introducing a new sporty outfit for Pikachu (Pikachu wearing a marathon visor). With the walking theme prevalent in this event, you’ll want to spin PokéStops for 5 km Eggs featuring previous Costumed Pokémon and Flittle. Plus, there will be an event-exclusive GO Pass for this event.

Pokémon GO’s Season of Memories in Motion – Spring Marathon

Begins: Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Monday, May 18th, 2026 at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon debuts – Pikachu wearing a marathon visor,Flittle, and Espathra + returning Costumed Pokémon

 

 

Pikachu wearing a marathon visor, Flittle, and Espathra debut during the Spring Marathon event!

  • Pikachu wearing a marathon visor (Costumed Pikachu): Can only be found as a reward catch encounter from the event’s Timed Research.
  • Flittle: Can be found via hatching 5 km Eggs obtained during the event and as a reward catch encounter from the event’s GO Pass.
    • Espathra: Can only be obtained by evolving a Flittle with 50 Flittle Candies.

 

In addition to these Pokémon debuts, previous Costumed Pokémon wearing flower crowns will be back! These include: Eevee wearing a flower crown, Chansey wearing a flower crown, Cottonee wearing a flower crown, Pichu wearing a flower crown, Togepi wearing a flower crown, Togetic wearing a flower crown, Happiny wearing a flower crown, and Buneary wearing a flower crown.

 

Note: Going forward, these Pokémon will be referred to as “Costumed” rather than the exact outfit they are wearing.

 

Event Bonuses

  • Event-themed 5 km Eggs
  • Event-themed Field Research

 

Plus, the following Season of Memories in Motion bonuses will be in effect:

  • Increased XP for a seven-day PokéStop spin streak.
  • Increased XP and Stardust for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak.
  • One additional Candy when trading Pokémon in-person.
  • Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokémon in-person.

 

Plus, there will be an event-dedicated GO Pass (and GO Pass Deluxe) active during the event. Two bonuses can be earned when progressing through ranks:

  • Tier 1 (Rank 10):
    • Free: 2× XP for spinning PokéStops
    • Deluxe: 3× XP for spinning PokéStops
      • Note: These bonuses will not stack.
  • Tier 2 (Rank 20): 1/2 Hatch Distance

 

And if Trainers reach specific ranks in the GO Pass and/or GO Pass Deluxe, then the following bonuses will also be active until Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time:

  • Tier 1 (Rank 25): 
    • Open up to 40 Gifts per day
    • Receive up to 125 Gifts per day from spinning PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs
    • Hold up to 10 additional Gifts in your Item Bag
  • Tier 2 (Rank 50):
    • 2× Daily Adventure Incense duration
  • Tier 3 (Rank 75):
    • Increased Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs.

If GO Pass Deluxe is purchased, then the following bonuses will active when Rank 25 is reached instead, until Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time:

  • Tier 1 (Rank 25):
    • Open up to 50 Gifts per day
    • Receive up to 150 Gifts per day from spinning PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs

The following Pokémon will be hatching from Eggs that are obtained during the event:

  • 5 km Eggs
    • 1-Egg Rarity: Costumed Pichu*, Costumed Togepi*, Costumed Happiny*, and Flittle.

Standard and Shadow Raids will be active during the event.

 

Standard Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:

  • One-Star Raids: 
    • Hisuian Voltorb*, Bagon*, Shieldon*, and Espurr* (until Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 at 10 p.m. your local time).
    • Machop*, Doduo*, and Rockruff* (starting on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 at 6 a.m. your local time).
  • Three-Star Raids:
    • Nidoqueen*, Starmie*, and Druddigon* (until Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 at 10 p.m. your local time).
    • Rapidash*, Zebstrike*, and Scolipede* (starting on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 at 6 a.m. your local time).
  • Five-Star Raids:
    • Nihilego* (until Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 at 10 p.m. your local time).
    • Buzzwole*, Pheromosa*, and Xurkitree* (starting on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 at 6 a.m. your local time).
      • Note: These Ultra Beasts are limited to specific regions:
        • Buzzwole: the Americas and Greenland.

A Timed Research quest called Spring Marathon will be active during the event. A complete list of tasks and the rewards will be shared here once the event is live.

 

  • Task: Explore 42 km
    • Reward: 21,000 XP
  • Completion Rewards: Costumed Pikachu* encounter

Field Research Tasks

There will be event-exclusive Field Research Tasks available and the rewards include the following: Costumed Eevee encounter, Costumed Cottonee* encounter, Costumed Buneary* encounter. and Rare Candy. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.

  • Task: Explore 2 km
    • Reward: 1 Costumed Eevee* OR Costumed Cottonee* OR Costumed Buneary* encounter
  • Task: Spin 10 PokéStops or Gyms

  • Task: Spin a PokéStop you haven’t visited before
    • Reward: 1 Rare Candy

PokéStop Showcase

During the event, PokéStop Showcases will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest Pokémon being requested. PokéStop Showcases will only be active on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. your local time due to the new weekly Showcase Tuesday event. GO Pass: Spring Marathon

 

GO Pass

A GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track available during a specified period. By collecting GO Points, you can increase your rank to earn rewards. Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: Spring Marathon on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time. You can collect GO Points and rank up to get additional rewards through Monday, May 18th, 2026, at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

GO Pass Deluxe

For US$4.99, Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe, a paid version of the GO Pass that offers upgraded rewards and faster progression.

For US$6.99, Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks to also automatically earn enough GO Points to reach Rank 7.

While progressing through the GO Pass Deluxe, you’ll be able to claim all of the rewards from both the free GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe. You can upgrade to a GO Pass Deluxe at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks.

GO Pass: encounters with event-themed Pokémon (Sprigatito, Costumed Buneary*, Roselia*, Flabébé (White)*, Flittle, Costumed Chansey, Costumed Togetic, Jumpluff, and Audino), Stardust, XP, Rare Candy, Ultra Balls, and even more goodies!

GO Pass Deluxe: an event-themed avatar item, additional encounters with even more event-themed Pokémon, Incense, Silver Pinap Berries, Rare Candy XL, Candy XL, and even more goodies!

Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026, at 8 p.m. your local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone!

 

Earning Points

In order to earn rewards from GO Pass, you’ll need to partake in specific Pass Tasks to earn points. To reach a single rank, you’ll need to earn 100 Points. Be aware that there will be daily limits to earning points (500 points per day), until the final few days of the event where there will be no limit (Saturday, May 16th, 2026 at 12 a.m. to Monday, May 18th, 2026 at 7:59 p.m. your local time).

  • Tasks
    • Standard Tasks (repeatable each day)
      • Catch a Pokémon: 5 Points
      • Hatch an Egg: 40 Points
      • Win a Raid: 100 Points
    • Daily Tasks (complete once per day)
