Hot off the heels of Pokémon GO Fest Seattle, a new worldwide event for all Trainers awaits in Pokémon GO. Transcending time and space, Hisuian Pokémon and more found in Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be appearing in-game briefly. Dubbed the Hisuian Discoveries event, Trainers will be able to catch Hisuian Voltorb (and evolve them into Hisuian Electrode) once more. As for new debuts, this time Trainers can add Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Qwilfish, Hisuian Sneasel, and Hisuian Braviary to their Pokédex!

Thanks to the Ultra Unlock bonuses, acquired by completing a Global Challenge issued during Pokémon GO Fest Seattle, Trainers can also find Panpour worldwide and do a bit of Unown hunting by seeking out Unown S in Raids. Seek out all Pokémon during this event with our guide below:

 

Pokémon GO’s Season of GO – Hisuian Discoveries

Begins: Wednesday, July 27th, 2022 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022 at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon debuts – Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Qwilfish, Hisuian Sneasel, and more!

 

 

From Hisui to the world of Pokémon GO, Trainers will be able to add Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Hisuian Sneasel to their Pokédex and battling teams! No handcrafted Poké Balls are needed here. They’ll be available in the wild (Hisuian Qwilfish only) and via Eggs.

In addition to these Pokémon debuting, so are their evolved forms!

  • Hisuian Arcanine: Use 50 Growlithe Candies to evolve a Hisuian Growlithe.
  • Overqwil: Must have a Hisuian Qwilfish that wins 10 Raids plus 50 Qwilfish Candies. Get battling!
  • Sneasler: Must have a Hisuian Sneasel as your Buddy Pokémon, walk 7 km with them, and have 100 Sneasel Candies. Evolving is also limited to during the Day.

 

Ultra Unlock Bonuses – Hisuian Braviary, Panpour, and Unown S

 

 

The Global Challenge issued during Pokémon GO Fest Seattle was met, which means there are some Ultra Unlock bonuses available for this event. They include:

  • Hisuian Braviary* debuts via Raids during a special one-day Hisuian Discoveries Raid Day (Sunday, July 31st, 2022 at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. your local time).
  • Panpour* will be escaping its North and South America-region exclusivity during the anniversary event! You’ll find them in the wild and in Raids!
  • Unown S* is back and can be found in Raid battles around the world!

Event Bonuses

  • Friendship levels will increase faster than normal through opening Gifts, trading Pokémon, or battling together in Raids, Gyms, or Trainer Battles.
  • During the event, Trainers can open up to 45 Gifts and send up to 150 Gifts each day.
  • Trainers can store up to 30 Gifts until the end of the event.
  • Certain bonuses will be available during the Ultra Unlock: Hisuian Discoveries Raid Day.

 

Wild Encounters

  • The following Pokémon will be appearing in the wild: Zubat*, Ponyta*, Onix*, Hisuian Voltorb, Tangela*, Eevee*, Porygon*, Aipom*, Hisuian Qwilfish, Wurmple*, Kricketot*, Buizel*, Drifloon*, Bronzor*, Croagunk*, and Panpour*.
    • If you’re lucky, you might encounter the following Pokémon: Electabuzz*, Magmar*, Octillery, and Gible*.

Eggs

 

 

The following Pokémon will be hatching from Eggs.

  • 7 km
    • 1-Egg Rarity: Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Voltorb, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Hisuian Sneasel.

Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:

  • One-Star Raids: Sneasel*, Roselia*, Shinx*, Unown S*, and Panpour*.
  • Three-Star Raids: Chansey*, Togetic*, Kirlia, and Whiscash.
  • Five-Star Raids: Dialga* and Palkia* (See Additional Notes).
  • Mega Raids: Mega Gengar* and Mega Abomasnow* (See Additional Notes).

  • Dialga* will be available during the first few days of the event, followed by Palkia* taking its place.
    • Dialga* will be available until Sunday, July 31st, 2022 at 10 a.m. your local time.

  • Mega Gengar* will be available during the first few days of the event, followed by Mega Abomasnow* taking its place.

Field Research Tasks

New event-exclusive Field Research Tasks will be available and the rewards include encounters with Clefairy*, Paras*, Psyduck*, Magnemite*, Cyndaquil*, Sneasel* (regular form), Remoraid*, Mantine*, Shinx*, Burmy* (Plant Cloak, Sand Cloak, and Trash Cloak), Oshawott*, Petilil, and Rowlet. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.

  • Task: Catch 10 Pokémon
    • Reward: Paras* OR Psyduck* OR Magnemite* Encounter
  • Task: Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon
    • Reward: Cyndaquil* OR Oshawott* OR Rowlet Encounter
  • Task: Hatch an Egg
    • Reward: Sneasel* (regular form) Encounter
  • Task: Battle in a Raid
    • Reward: Remoraid* OR Mantine* Encounter
  • Task: Win a Raid
    • Reward: Shinx* Encounter
  • Task: Send 3 Gifts and add a Sticker to each
    • Reward: Clefairy* OR Petilil Encounter
  • Task: Send 5 Gifts and add a Sticker to each
    • Reward: Burmy* (Plant Cloak) OR Burmy* (Sand Cloak) OR Burmy* (Trash Cloak) Encounter

Hisuian Discoveries: Collection Challenge

An event-exclusive Collection Challenge will be made available when the event is live. Rewards for completing these challenges include XP, Stardust, and an Incubator.

  • Obtain the following Pokémon: Hisuian Voltorb, Buizel, Aipom, Ponyta, Drifloon, Hisuian Qwilfish, Tangela, Onix, Croagunk, Bronzor, Gible, and Octillery.
  • Rewards: 7,000 XP, 3,000 Stardust, and 1 Incubator.

 

GO Battle League – Hisui Cup

A special cup will be available during the event. Battle other Trainers with Pokémon that were discovered in the Hisui region! The Hisui Cup’s rules are:

  • Pokémon must be at or below 1,500 CP to enter.
  • Only Pokémon first discovered in the Hisui region or Pokémon with a Pokédex number from #387 to #493 will be allowed.

 

Avatar Items

Avatar items inspired by main characters’ outfits in Pokémon Legends: Arceus will return! These cosmetics will be available in the in-game shop.

 

 

Stickers

For this event, there will be an assortment of Hisuian-themed stickers! The stickers feature Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Arcanine, and Hisuian Braviary. You can get them by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and/or purchasing them from Pokémon GO’s in-game shop during the event.

 

 

Ultra Unlock: Hisuian Discoveries Raid Day

 

 

On Sunday, July 31st, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. your local time, Hisuian Braviary will make its Pokémon GO debut in Raids via the special Ultra Unlock: Hisuian Discoveries Raid Day. You can find all the details with our dedicated guide for the one-day event.
