This year’s Pokémon GO Fest may be over, but Niantic is ready for Trainers to take part in another event. After a busy weekend of catching and raiding, Trainers can now take part in this year’s Adventure Week event! Rock-type Pokémon and Fossil Pokémon are in the spotlight here, including two new arrivals to Pokémon GO! Get all the details for this event with our guide below.

 

Pokémon GO’s Season of GO – Adventure Week

Begins: Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Sunday, June 12th, 2022 at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon debuts – Amaura and Tyrunt

 

 

The fossil Pokémon from the Kalos region are finally being dug up in Pokémon GO! You’ll find Amaura and Tyrunt appearing for the first time via hatching Eggs and encounters from Field Research Tasks during this event.

 

Event Bonuses

  • 2× XP for spinning PokéStops
  • 5× bonus XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time
  • 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period. (Ultra Unlock bonus)

 

Ultra Unlock Bonuses

Trainers completed at least 20 Global Challenges during Pokémon GO Fest! That means Ultra Unlock bonuses will be added to Adventure Week. For more information, check out the following sections: Raids: Ultra Unlock bonus – Unown F, Timed Research, Research Day, Adventure Sync rewards, and Event Bonuses (above).

 

Wild Encounters

  • The following Pokémon will be appearing in the wild: Rhyhorn*, Omanyte*, Kabuto*, Larvitar*, Aron*, Lileep*, Anorith*, Cranidos*, Rampardos, Shieldon*, and Bastiodon.
    • If you’re lucky, you might encounter the following Pokémon: Graveler, Aerodactyl*, and Pupitar.

Eggs

The following Pokémon will be hatching from Eggs.

  • 7 km Eggs
    • 1-Egg Rarity: Shuckle*, Slugma*, Cranidos*, Shieldon*, Tirtouga*, and Archen*.
    • 2-Egg Rarity: Tyrunt and Amaura.

Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:

  • One-Star Raids: Geodude*, Alolan Geodude*, Sudowoodo*, and Roggenrola*.
  • Three-Star Raids: Rhydon, Shuckle*, Tyranitar, and Aggron.
  • Five-Star Raids: Groudon*.
  • Mega Raids: Mega Aerodactyl*.

 

Ultra Unlock bonus – Unown F

During Adventure Week, Unown F* will also be a part of the Raid selection! You can find Unown F* in One-Star Raids.

Timed Research – Adventure Week: Adventure Challenge

A special Timed Research will be available to Trainers thanks to Ultra Unlock bonuses. This Timed Research will be focused on exploring and will reward Trainers with three free Incubators, Pokémon encounters, and more when completing tasks.

  • Task: Walk 5 km
    • Reward: 1 Incubator
  • Task: Walk 10 km
    • Reward: 1 Incubator
  • Task: Walk 25 km
    • Reward: 1 Incubator
  • Task: Spin 50 PokéStops or Gyms
    • Reward: Tyrunt Encounter
  • Task: Earn 5 Candies exploring with your Buddy
    • Reward: Amaura Encounter
  • Completion Rewards: 5,000 XP, 2,500 Stardust, and 3 Rare Candies

 

Field Research Tasks

New event-exclusive Field Research Tasks will be available and the rewards include encounters with Omanyte*, Kabuto*, Aerodactyl*, Lileep*, Anorith*, Cranidos*, Shieldon*, Tyrunt, Amaura, Tirtouga*, and Archen*. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.

  • Task: Catch 15 Rock-type Pokémon
    • Reward: Omanyte* OR Kabuto* Encounter
  • Task: Spin 15 PokéStops or Gyms
    • Reward: Lileep* OR Anorith* Encounter
  • Task: Spin 25 PokéStops or Gyms
    • Reward: Amaura OR Tyrunt Encounter
  • Task: Spin 2 PokéStops you haven’t visited before
    • Reward: Cranidos* OR Shieldon* Encounter
  • Task: Walk 1 km
    • Reward: 5 Poké Balls OR 3 Great Balls OR 2 Ultra Balls
  • Task: Walk 5 km
    • Reward: Amura OR Tyrunt Encounter
  • Task: Earn 3 Candies exploring with your Buddy
    • Reward: Tirtouga* Encounter
  • Task: Hatch 2 Eggs
    • Reward: Aerodactyl* Encounter
  • Task: Hatch 4 Eggs
    • Reward: Tirtouga* OR Archen* Encounter

Adventure Sync rewards

According to Niantic, “Trainers will be able to claim increased Adventure Sync rewards on Monday, June 13, 2022.”

 

Research Day

Begins: Sunday, June 12th, 2022 at 11 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Sunday, June 12th, 2022 at 3 p.m. your local time.

 

Featured Pokémon – Cranidos* and Shieldon*

During the event, special Limited Research tasks will be active. These tasks can reward Trainers with Cranidos* or Shieldon*. Plus, Niantic has increased the Shiny rates for both Pokémon! These Limited Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active. A list of Limited Field Research Tasks and their rewards will be added to the guide once the event is live.

Wild Encounters – Tyrunt and Amaura

Surprise! Tyrunt and Amaura will be available in the wild during Adventure Week! Initially limited to Eggs during the event, now they’ll be appearing in the wild and frequently too. Each will only be appearing during certain hours though.

 

Tyrunt can be found in the wild during the following hours:

  • 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. your local time
  • 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. your local time

 

Amaura can be found in the wild during the following hours:

  • 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. your local time
  • 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. your local time

 

Wild Encounters – All hours

  • The following Pokémon will be appearing in the wild: Diglett*, Alolan Diglett*, Geodude*, Alolan Geodude*, Onix*, Rhyhorn*, Sudowoodo*, Aron*, and Dwebble*.
