The Season of Adventures Abound is winding down – ending on November 30th. So, as we’re in the thick of a major holiday season, this send-off event will focus on Pokémon GO’s new Party Play feature (for more information, you can check out the Party Play feature page on the official Pokémon GO site). Aptly named the Party Up! event, Pokémon GO Trainers can play together during this week and earn some extra bonuses. That said, there won’t be any new Pokémon debuts, but Wurmple wearing a party hat returns for this festive shindig. Pokémon GO’s Season of Adventures Abound – Party Up!

Begins: Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Monday, November 27th, 2023 at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon featured – Paldea Pokémon, Hisuian Growlithe, Costume Wurmple, and more

 

 

There aren’t any new Pokémon debuts in Pokémon GO during this event, but a selection of Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet that debuted during this season will be in the spotlight, as well as other shiny debuts from this season. Plus, one Costumed Pokémon returns!

  • Pokémon from Paldea: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Lechonk, Nymble, Pawmi, Smoliv, Tadbulb, and Bombirdier will be easier to find during this event.
  • Hisuian Growlithe: While Hisuian Growlithe has been around in Pokémon GO, its shiny version debuted this season. Plus, Hisuian Growlithe is being featured in an event-exclusive Timed Research along with…
  • Wurmple wearing a party hat (Costumed Wurmple): The party worm is here! Previously featured in events from 2020 to 2023 (typically New Year’s-themed events), Wurmple wearing a party hat is perfect for the Party Up! event. To catch ’em, you’ll need to complete select Field Research and Timed Research tasks.
    • Note: Going forward, this Pokémon will be referred to as “Costumed” rather than the exact outfit they are wearing.

 

Event Bonuses

  • 2× XP for winning Raid Battles. (Just shown as “2× Raid XP” in-game)
  • Two additional Candy for trading Pokémon.
  • Trainers level 31 and up are guaranteed to receive Candy XL for trading Pokémon.
  • Up to five Special Trades can be made a day.

 

The November 2023 Community Day Classic event also overlaps with the Party Up! event, so the following bonuses will be active on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 from 2 to 5 p.m. your local time:

  • 1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in Incubators during the event period
  • Incense activated during the event will last for three hours (Daily Adventure Incense excluded)
  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
  • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise! (Mareep photobomb spawn. Can be repeated up to 5 times.)

 

Event Boxes

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live. Niantic is also promoting the Pokémon GO Web Store and offering double the PokéCoins for bundles priced $20 and up.

  • Seasonal Delights Box (4,875 PokéCoins, Pokémon GO Web Store only): 25 Super Incubators, 25 Egg Incubators, and 10 Poffins.

 

Wild Encounters

  • The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild: Gothita*, Solosis*, Morelull*, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Lechonk*, Nymble, Pawmi, Smoliv, and Tadbulb.

Raids

Standard and Shadow Raids will be active during the event.

 

Standard Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:

  • One-Star Raids: Hisuian Growlithe*, Nosepass*, Dwebble*, Klink*, and Lechonk*.
  • Three-Star Raids: Rhydon, Pelipper, Gardevoir*, and Bombirdier*.
  • Five-Star Raids:
    • Until Thursday, November 23rd, 2023 at 10 a.m. your local time: Cobalion*
    • After Thursday, November 23rd, 2023 at 10 a.m. your local time: Terrakion* (See Additional Notes).
  • Mega Raids: Mega Kangaskhan* (See Additional Notes).

 

Shadow Raids

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Shadow Raids:

  • One-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Meowth*, Shadow Machop*, Shadow Wooper, and Shadow Pineco*.
  • Three-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Magmar, Shadow Electabuzz, and Shadow Gligar*.
  • Five-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Articuno* (See Additional Notes).

  • Standard Raids:
    • Terrakion* will be available after the event (in Five-Star Raids), until Thursday, November 30th, 2023 at 10 a.m. your local time.
    • Mega Kangaskhan* will be available after the event (in Mega Raids), until Thursday, November 30th, 2023 at 10 a.m. your local time.
  • Shadow Raids:
    • One- and Three-Star Shadow Raids will be available daily.
    • Five-Star Shadow Raids will be available on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), unless otherwise stated by Niantic.

 

Timed Research – Party Up

A Timed Research quest will be active during the event. Its tasks will focus on participating in the Party Play feature. Completing this Timed Research will reward Trainers with the following items and Pokémon encounters: 3 Charged TMs, 1 Lucky Egg, 1 Premium Raid Pass (also referred to as a Premium Battle Pass), 1 Hisuian Growlithe* Encounter, 1 Costumed Wurmple* Encounter, and more.

A complete list of tasks for all routes and the rewards will be shared here once the event is live.

 

  • Task: Win 3 Raids while in a party
    • Reward: Hisuian Growlithe* Encounter
  • Task: Use 5 Super Effective Charged Attacks while in a party
    • Reward: 3 Charged TMs
  • Task: Catch 30 Pokémon while in a party
    • Reward: 1 Lucky Egg
  • Task: Spin 30 PokéStops or Gyms while in a party
    • Reward:1 Premium Raid Pass
  • Task: Explore 3 km while in a party
    • Reward: 2,500 XP
  • Task: Complete 3 Party Challenges
    • Reward: 1,000 Stardust
  • Completion Rewards: Costumed Wurmple* Encounter, 5,000 XP, and 2,000 Stardust

Field Research Tasks

There will be event-exclusive Field Research Tasks available and the rewards include the following Pokémon encounters: Hisuian Growlithe*, Costumed Wurmple*, Nosepass*, Gothita*, Solosis*, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. These Field Research Tasks can be found when spinning PokéStops (and acquired if you have an open slot in your Field Research menu) when the event is active.

Paid Special Research – Special Research: Master Ball

Trainers that didn’t complete the Season of Adventures Abound season-long Timed Research that rewarded Trainers with a Master Ball can purchase a Special Research Story version for US$7.99 OR US$8.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Sales for this Special Research will be available until Tuesday, November 28th, 2023. According to Niantic, “[t]ickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).”

Step 3/3

  • Task: Catch 150 Pokémon in Poké Balls
    • Reward: 6,000 XP
  • Task: Catch 150 Pokémon in Great Balls
    • Reward: 6,000 XP
  • Task: Catch 150 Pokémon in Ultra Balls
    • Reward: 6,000 XP
  • Task: Catch 150 different species of Pokémon
    • Reward: 6,000 XP
  • Completion Rewards: 25,000 XP, 3,000 Stardust, and 1 Master Ball

 

PokéStop Showcase

During the event, PokéStop Showcases will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest Pokémon that is featured. Due to the overlap of the November 2023 Community Day Classic event, there will be a brief change in which Pokémon are being showcased:

  • Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023 at 10 a.m. to Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at 2 pm. your local time: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly
  • Saturday, November 25th, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. your local time: Mareep and Ampharos
  • Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at 5 p.m. to Monday, November 27th, 2023 at 8 p.m. your local time: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly
