Pokémon GO’s 10th season, the Season of Rising Heroes, is starting things off with a spotlight on some key Fighting-type Pokémon. Where Trainers in Mexico are treated to the debut of Hawlucha as a regional exclusive, the first worldwide event of the season features Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, and Tyrogue.

Only available for one day, Trainers can partake in an event Timed Research, bonuses with perfecting your Poké Ball throws, and more.

Pokémon GO’s Season of Rising Heroes – Catch Mastery event

Begins: Sunday, March 5th, 2023 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Sunday, March 5th, 2023 at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon featured – Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, and Tyrogue

 

 

Hitmonlee*, Hitmonchan*, Hitmontop*, and Tyrogue* are being featured in this event. Even better, shiny chances for Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop will be increased during the event too!

Hitmonlee* and Hitmonchan* can be found in the wild.

Hitmontop* will be available via catch reward encounters with Timed Research and Field Research.

And as for Tyrogue*, they’ll be available during the event via 7 km Eggs that are obtained during the event’s active hours.

Event Bonuses

  • You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Hitmonlee, Shiny Hitmonchan, and Shiny Hitmontop.
  • 2× XP for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, Excellent Throws, and Curveball Throws.

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live.

 

Wild Encounters

  • The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild: Hitmonlee* and Hitmonchan*.

Eggs

The following Pokémon can hatch from Eggs that are obtained during the event:

  • 7 km Eggs
    • 1-Egg Rarity: Tyrogue*.
    • 2-Egg Rarity: Galarian Stunfisk*.
    • 3-Egg Rarity: Alolan Meowth*, Galarian Farfetch’d*, Galarian Ponyta*, Hisuian Voltorb, and Hisuian Qwilfish.
    • 4-Egg Rarity: Galarian Meowth*, Galarian Zigzagoon*, Alolan Vulpix*, Galarian Slowpoke, Hisuian Growlithe, and Hisuian Sneasel.
    • 5-Egg Rarity: Galarian Darumaka*.

Timed Research – Catch Mastery

A Timed Research quest called Catch Mastery will be active during the event. Tasks will be focused on Poké Ball throwing accuracy and will reward Trainers with Hitmontop* catch encounters. There will be 10 steps to this Timed Research, which means Trainers can get up to 40 Hitmontop* catch encounters if completed.
