The Season of Heritage in Pokémon GO is mixing things up! While we’ll be helping out Professor Willow uncover the mysterious giant door at a historical cave site during the three-month-long season, there will be other events, research tasks, and more to complete. For February 2022, a month-long Timed Research task headed by Team Valor’s leader, Candela, is available to Trainers who purchase a ticket for the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto, and it’s all about catching Pokémon. Aptly titled the Catch Challenge, Trainers will be given a grand challenge of catching 600 Pokémon!

Just like the previous two challenges, the Catch Challenge is accumulative and split into 15 different tasks with 15 different rewards and a completion reward.

Note: This Timed Research will only be available to Trainers who pre-purchase a ticket for Pokémon GO Tour: Johto prior to Thursday, February 10th, 2022.

If you’re unable to complete the Catch Challenge and really want the Noibat Hat, there’s another way to get it. According to Niantic, “[t]he Noibat Hat avatar item will be available for purchase in the shop after the Season ends.” As for how much, that info is currently unknown.
