It’s a competitive, battling kind of weekend for Trainers in Pokémon GO! For one day only, Trainers can take a break from the Pokémon TCG Crossover Event and bring their team of three Pokémon into GO Battle League. This time, Trainers can battle in more sets and get more Stardust rewards. Plus, for Trainers that win, if you time it just right you’ll get to encounter Mankey as the Pokémon reward encounter!
Ready to battle it out in Pokémon GO? Here are all the details of this event:
Pokémon GO’s Season of GO – GO Battle Day: Mankey
Begins: Saturday, June 18th, 2022 at 12 a.m. your local time.
Ends: Saturday, June 18th, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. your local time.
Event Bonuses
- The maximum number of sets you can play per day will be increased from five to 20, for a total of 100 battles!
- 4× Stardust from win rewards
Featured Pokémon – Mankey
Begins: Saturday, June 18th, 2022 at 11 a.m. your local time.
Ends: Saturday, June 18th, 2022 at 2 p.m. your local time.
During this time period, you’ll be guaranteed to get Mankey* Encounters from reward encounters!
- Basic Rewards track: The first reward in each set of 5 battles will be a Mankey* Encounter.
- Premium Rewards track: All rewards in the set (5 battles) will be Mankey* Encounters.
Note: Pokémon marked with an * means that “If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!”
Evolve Mankey into Primeape
Begins: Saturday, June 18th, 2022 at 11 a.m. your local time.
Ends: Saturday, June 18th, 2022 at 4 p.m. your local time.
During this five-hour window, Trainers that evolve any Mankey into Primeape will get a Primeape that knows the move Cross Chop (Charged Attack).
Timed Research
A special Timed Research will be available during the entire day and its tasks will focus on battling. Trainers who complete the research can look forward to the following rewards: XP, Rare Candy, Bea-Style Gloves, and an Elite Charged TM. Niantic does not that Trainers who already own Bea-Style Gloves, an avatar item, will not receive another one.
GO Battle Day
- Task: Battle in the GO Battle League 5 times
- Reward: 7,500 XP
- Task: Battle in the GO Battle League 10 times
- Reward: 7,500 XP
- Task: Use 10 Super Effective Charged Attacks
- Reward: 7,500 XP
- Task: Power up Pokémon 10 times
- Reward: 7,500 XP
- Completion Reward: 3 Rare Candies, 1 Elite Charged TM, and Bea-Style Gloves.
Active Competitions
The following leagues will be active:
- Fossil Cup (Pokémon must be at or below 1,500 CP and only Water-, Rock-, and Steel-type Pokémon can be entered)
- Master League (No CP limit)
