During Pokémon GO’s Season of Memories in Motion, there are a few weeks where no almost week-long events are happening. To fill the gap, Trainers will get a Timed Research that offers three different options focused on exploring, catching Pokémon, and battling. Each path will also grant Trainers a bonus throughout the week.

Pokémon GO’s Season of Memories in Motion – Choose Your Path Timed Research May 2026
Begins: Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time.
Ends: Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 at 8 p.m. your local time.
Event Bonuses
One of the following bonuses will be active depending on which branching path you choose from the Timed Research:
- Explore: 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance bonus.
- Catch: Get additional Candy for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.
- Battle: Get extra Mysterious Components from Team GO Rocket Grunts.
Plus, the following Season of Memories in Motion bonuses will be in effect:
- Increased XP for a seven-day PokéStop spin streak.
- Increased XP and Stardust for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak.
- One additional Candy when trading Pokémon in-person.
- Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokémon in-person.
And if Trainers reach specific ranks in the May GO Pass and/or GO Pass Deluxe, then the following bonuses will also be active until Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time:
- Tier 1 (Rank 25):
- Open up to 40 Gifts per day
- Receive up to 125 Gifts per day from spinning PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs
- Hold up to 10 additional Gifts in your Item Bag
- Tier 2 (Rank 50):
- 2× Daily Adventure Incense duration
- Tier 3 (Rank 75):
- Increased Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs.
If May’s GO Pass Deluxe is purchased, then the following bonuses will active when Rank 25 is reached instead, until Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time:
- Tier 1 (Rank 25):
- Open up to 50 Gifts per day
- Receive up to 150 Gifts per day from spinning PokéStop and Gym Photo Discs
- Hold up to 20 additional Gifts in your Item Bag

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live. Daily bundles are also available and can be viewed online via the Pokémon GO Web Store.

Standard and Shadow Raids will be active during the event.
Standard Raids
The following Pokémon will be appearing in Raids:
- One-Star Raids:
- Machop*, Doduo*, and Rockruff* (until Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 at 10 p.m. your local time).
- Cleafairy*, Alolan Grimer*, Gible*, and Wimpod* (starting on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026 at 6 a.m. your local time).
- Three-Star Raids:
- Rapidash*, Zebstrike*, and Scolipede* (until Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 at 10 p.m. your local time).
- Piloswine*, Turtonator*, and Klawf (starting on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026 at 6 a.m. your local time).
- Five-Star Raids:
- Buzzwole*, Pheromosa*, and Xurkitree* (until Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 at 10 p.m. your local time).
- Note: These Ultra Beasts are limited to specific regions:
- Buzzwole: the Americas and Greenland.
- Pheromosa: Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India.

The following Pokémon will be appearing in Shadow Raids:
- One-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Larvitar*, Shadow Sableye*, Shadow Spheal*, and Shadow Inkay*.
- Three-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Ninetails*, Shadow Primeape*, and Shadow Onix*.
- Five-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Cresselia*.

Timed Research – Choose Your Path Timed Research
A branching Timed Research quest called Choose Your Path Timed Research will be active during the event. Regardless of what route is chosen, the same rewards will be issued to Trainers. The only difference is which event bonus will be active. Trainers may only pick one of the three:
- Explore: 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance bonus.
- Catch: Get additional Candy for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.
- Battle: Get extra Mysterious Components from Team GO Rocket Grunts.

- Task: Make 15 Excellent Throws
- Reward: 10 Great Balls
- Task: Make 50 Curveball Throws
- Reward: 10 Ultra Balls
- Completion Rewards: 3 Golden Razz Berries and 5 Rare Candies
Choose Your Path Timed Research: Battle
Description: Choose this path to get a extra Mysterious Components from Team GO Rocket Grunts.

- Task: Defeat 5 Team GO Rocket Grunts
- Reward: 10 Great Balls
- Task: Use 25 Super Effective Charged Attacks
- Reward: 10 Ultra Balls
- Completion Rewards: 3 Golden Razz Berries and 5 Rare Candies
PokéStop Showcase
During the event, PokéStop Showcases will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest Pokémon being requested. PokéStop Showcases will only be active on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. your local time due to the new weekly Showcase Tuesday event.
