Germany is hosting this year’s EURO football competition and Niantic is celebrating with a special event for Trainers in the area. Bonuses and Timed Research featuring Voltorb will be available, plus raffles on Instagram, new Routes, and more. Pokémon GO’s Season of Shared Skies – EURO 2024 Germany (Summer Fairytale)

Begins: Tuesday, June 14th, 2024 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time.

 

Pokémon featured – Voltorb

 

 

For this event, there’s one Pokémon being featured and that’s Voltorb. (Though I’m fairly certain you wouldn’t want to use this Pokémon as a football…) Trainers can encounter Voltorb via the event’s Timed Research.

 

Event Bonuses

  • 3 XP when you spin the Photo Disc at a Gym or PokéStop for the first time that day
  • Exclusive Timed Research now available

If any special event boxes or bundles are released during the event, they’ll be listed here once the event is live. Daily bundles can be viewed at Pokémon GO’s Web Store.

 

Timed Research – Bonus Event

A Timed Research quest called Bonus Event – Timed Research will be active during the event. According to the official blog post, this Timed Research will reissued once a week after being completed.

 

  • Task: Explore 1 km
    • Reward: Voltorb* Encounter
  • Task: Explore 2 km
    • Reward: 5 Ultra Balls
  • Task: Explore 4 km
    • Reward: 10 Ultra Balls
  • Task: Explore 8 km
    • Reward: 15 Ultra Balls
  • Task: Explore 16 km
    • Reward: 1 Lucky Egg
  • Completion Rewards: 10 Voltorb Candies and 10,000 Stardust

 

Note: Pokémon marked with an * means that “If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!”

 

New Routes

More Routes have been added throughout Germany. Official routes have been added in the following cities: Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart.

 

PokéStop Showcase

During the event, PokéStop Showcases will be active. The theme of these contests is to submit the biggest Pokémon being requested. This section will be updated throughout the event.

  • Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, June 16th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: Crabrawler
  • Monday, June 17th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: All Water-type Pokémon
  • Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, June 23rd, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: Cyndaquil and Typhlosion (including Hisuian Typhlosion)
  • Monday, June 24th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, June 25th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: All Fire-type Pokémon
  • Saturday, June 29th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, June 30th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Meltan
  • Monday, July 1st, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: Grimer (including Costumed Grimer) and Meltan
  • Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, July 7th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: Ducklett
  • Monday, July 8th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: All Water-type Pokémon
  • Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at 8 p.m. your local time: Necrozma

 

Raffles via Instagram Stories

During the entire event, Niantic will be hosting a series of “prize draws” via the official Pokémon GO Germany Instagram account.
