Pokémon’s fourth generation was full of evolutions, including a handful that utilized newly introduced held items to trigger them. These can happen by either leveling up or being traded while holding the necessary item, though a few have additional requirements, such as being locked to a certain time. One of these evolutions is Dusknoir, the Gen IV evolution of Gen III’s Dusclops.

Read on to learn where to find Duskull and Dusclops and eventually evolve them into Dusknoir!

Where to find Duskull and Dusclops in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

You can find both Duskull and Dusclops via the Poké Radar on Route 224, so once you’ve gained that extra helpful item you’ll be able to get one of them for yourself. Alternatively, you can find both Duskull and Dusclops in the Grand Underground via Dazzling Cave and Stargleam Cavern Pokémon Hideaways, as a rare spawn.

You can also get a Dusclops by raising your Duskull to level 37, at which point it evolves.

How to evolve Dusclops into Dusknoir in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Once you have a Dusclops, you’ll be able to evolve it into Dusknoir. You do this by trading it while it holds a Reaper Cloth item. Once the trade is complete, you’ll have a Dusknoir to call your own!

Where to find a Reaper Cloth in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

There are several methods to obtaining a Reaper Cloth in Pokémon BDSP. You can find one of these on Route 229 behind a tree you can Cut down near an Ace Trainer. Do note that you’ll have to have beaten the Elite Four before you’re able to access this area.

Another way is to find one in Turnback Cave. Again, you won’t be able to reach this area until you’ve become Champion. If Giratina isn’t in Turnback Cave, you have a chance of obtaining a Reaper Cloth by reaching his room by reaching it in only three rooms. In Giratina’s place will be a Reaper Cloth. This method is also repeatable, so you can farm Reaper Cloths this way.

Lastly, you can purchase a Reaper Cloth from the Battle Tower for 5 BP.

Once gained, you’ll be able to add this haunting and handsy cyclops to your collection.
