The versatile Eevee is no stranger to various evolution methods, and Gen IV introduced a couple new ones back on the Nintendo DS. Leafeon and Glaceon were the sixth and seventh Eeveelutions, and could only be gained in certain spots! Read on to learn how to add them to your team in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

How to evolve Eevee into Leafeon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Evolving Eevee into Leafeon requires that it levels up near a Moss Rock. There is only one in all of Sinnoh, found in Eterna Forest. Head to the southwest of the area to find the Moss Rock.

How to evolve Eevee into Glaceon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Similarly, to evolve Eevee into Glaceon you’ll need to find an Ice Rock. Sinnoh’s is on Route 217, south of Snowpoint City. Level up Eevee near the Ice Rock and you’ll be set!

What about Leaf Stones and Ice Stones?

In Pokémon Sword and Shield, Eevee instead evolved into Leafeon and Glaceon via exposure to a Leaf Stone or Ice Stone respectively. These were usable items, and not set landmarks. As Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes, the Moss Rock and Ice Rock methods will instead make their return.

What if other Eeveelution conditions are met near a Moss Rock or Ice Rock?

If on leveling up your Eevee near a Moss Rock or Ice Rock also meets the requirements to evolve into a different Pokémon, such as Espeon or Umbreon, the location takes priority. Therefore, any Eevee evolved near a Moss Rock or Ice Rock should evolve into Leafeon or Glaceon.
