Update (11/2/21): This page has been updated with new pre-order bonuses from Walmart and Best Buy. Please read below for all the details!

The long-awaited journey back to Sinnoh is almost here, as we’re less than three months away from the release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl! All this excitement will help to keep us warm in the chilly region, but if you need a little extra incentive then we’re happy to help. Multiple retailers are offering pre-order bonuses, though there’s a slight catch. It seems these bonuses are focused on the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Double Pack, bundling both games together for $119.98.

If you were planning on picking both up regardless or have needed a little push to convince you to double up on Gen IV, here’s what ordering from certain stores will get you while supplies last. Also, even without a physical bonus there’s a Mythical, digital benefit to getting in on these remakes early!

Pokémon Center

Pokémon’s own online storefront is offering a trio to go along with your pair. Those who pre-order the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Double Pack will receive three plush keychains based on the Sinnoh starter Pokémon: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.

GameStop

GameStop orders of the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Double Pack will include the retailer’s recurring Nintendo bonus: a pin set. Rather than the starters, this set’s focus is instead on the legendaries Dialga and Palkia.

Amazon

Pre-order the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Double Pack at Amazon, and you’ll get a digital Poké Ball variety set. The set includes two each of the following Poké Balls: Fast Ball, Level Ball, Moon Ball, Heavy Ball, Love Ball, Friend Ball, and Lure Ball. Offer expires 11/18/2021. This bonus will be distributed via download codes that will be emailed out starting on November 19th.

Target

Purchasing the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Double Pack from Target will grab you an exclusive journal. This sparkling booklet is a great way to log your journey, and features the three starters on its cover to serve as your guides!

Courtesy of @Wario64 and @GamerTank117, we know that Target is replacing some pre-order bonuses with a $20 eGift card for the retailer due to lower supplies of the journal than expected. The gift card can be used both online and in-store.

Walmart

Continuing its tradition of offering physical goodies, Walmart’s pre-order bonus for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Double Pack is an exclusive pen set that features Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.

Best Buy

Best Buy has joined the retailer lineup and is offering a key chain with every pre-order of the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl Double Pack. The adorable key chain includes three charms featuring the iconic starters for the games: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup! Per usual, the bonus is only available while supplies last.

In-Game Bonuses

Pre-ordering the game either digitally or physically will also net you some in-game goodies. Check out this table to see how you can get your hands on a Manaphy Egg, 12 Quick Balls, and 200 Poké Balls, and keep reading below for more details.

Manaphy Egg Mystery Gift

No matter how you set out on your adventure, you’ll be able to receive an elusive, Mythical Pokémon so long as you’re starting early. Those who redeem a Mystery Gift via the internet before February 21st, 2022 will receive an egg that will hatch into Manaphy! Having Manaphy is a prize in and of itself, but it’ll also allow you to gain eggs that will hatch into Phione as well.

Quick Balls and Poké Balls

As another digital extra, those who download at least one of the games from the Nintendo eShop will also be eligible to receive 12 Quick Balls via a download code. Lastly, anyone who purchases a copy of the Double Pack – physical or digital – will receive two download codes for 100 Poké Balls each. That’s 200 Poké Balls total! Ordering the Dual Pack digitally from the eShop will grant you both the 12 Quick Balls and 200 Poké Balls bonus.

Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga & Palkia Edition

Last but certainly not least, a special Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga & Palkia Edition will be available starting November 5th. This system is a callback to a similar DS Lite that was released alongside the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games, and will sell for $199.99. It does not include copies of the games, and appears to be sold out at this time. See below for potential store links, and keep an eye on our social channels for in-stock alerts!
