Drifloon is the most adorable haunted balloon around, and another stand out from Sinnoh’s Pokédex. Fairly common these days, Drifloon used to be an oddity in that you could only find it one, specific way back on the Nintendo DS. That method is back for the Gen IV remakes, so read on to learn how to find Drifloon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl!
Where to find Drifloon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
To catch Drifloon, you’ll need to first reach the Valley Windworks just outside of Floaroma Town. Once you’ve cleared out Team Galactic, a Drifloon will float on by to the Valley Windworks door every Friday. You’ll only be able to battle and potentially catch it during the daytime – between 10 a.m. and 7:59 p.m. in game.
That limits your wild Drifloon encounters to one per week, but you can definitely get more than one by waiting seven days or breeding for eggs. It’s worth noting that changing the in-game clock has traditionally blocked you from encountering time-specific Pokémon for 24 hours, so you’ll have to have some patience on this one.
Once caught, you can go on to evolve it into Drifblim at level 28, or just enjoy your new and extra buoyant buddy.
