First you draw a circle, then you dot the eyes; add a great big smile and presto: it’s Kirby! Everything about this pink puffball has resonated with me as a gamer, and seeing this phrase greet me whenever I start up Kirby’s Adventure fills me with a joy that can’t be replicated. That’s the kind of pure enthusiasm and delight we want to share with you in the lead-up to his latest adventure, Kirby Planet Robobot. In just a few weeks the second 3DS outing of this floating, power-copying, ravenous hero will be on shelves and in hands. ‘Til that day comes, join us on a tour of his earlier games and get excited for what’s to come!

Kirby-Robobot-Scientist

Whenever you started enjoying Kirby games, be it his first Game Boy jaunt through Dream Land, combining powers on the N64 to collect Crystal Shards, or saving an entire galaxy and getting addicted to subgames on the SNES; there’s been something for everyone and everything for someone. Personally speaking, Kirby was one my earliest gaming experiences and continues to be a favorite to this day. It’s with great pleasure that I welcome you to our curated collection of pieces all in the name of this Nintendo icon.

Check back as we add new articles celebrating the Kirby series up until June 10th, Planet Robobot’s release day!

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
