Warning: Story spoilers ahead. If you haven’t beaten the main story campaign yet, turn back now!
What Pokédex is complete without the inclusion of the literal Pokémon Devil?! That’s right! The Renegade Pokémon Giratina is in Pokémon Legends: Arceus and getting it will take some hard work and dedication. Here’s what you need to do to add the fearsome Giratina to your team.
How to find Giratina in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
After you have rolled the credits of Legends: Arceus, a whole new world of exploration opens up for you in the end game. Before you encounter Giratina, however, make sure the following tasks have been completed:
- Complete Research Task 21: The Plate of the Lakes
- Complete Research Task 22: The Plate of Firespit Island
- Complete Research Task 23: The Plate of Moonview Arena
- Complete Research Task 24: The Plate of Snowpoint Temple
- Complete Research Task 25: The Plate of Prelude Beach
Once you have located all five of the post-game plates, head to the Coronet Highlands and climb to the Temple of Sinnoh. After some story plays out, you will eventually face off against Giratina itself!
You can’t catch Giratina quite yet, so all you can really do is knock out its two forms. That’s right, you need to defeat Giratina back-to-back with no chance to save or heal. Make sure your party is around level 70-75 and have plenty of healing items on hand. Once Giratina is defeated, you can finally hunt it down and make it yours!
How to catch Giratina in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Giratina makes its home in the Cobalt Coastlands in Turnback Cave. Just head on in and trigger the battle. Giratina wasn’t too much of a hastle to catch, just make sure to watch his health and throw an Ultra Ball or two to catch him! Good luck!
