Of the many traditions held by the Pokémon franchise, one of the most long-standing is the concept of version-exclusive Pokémon. The Indigo Disk DLC of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is no exception to this. There are a total of 12 Pokémon that can only be natively caught in one of the two versions, six in each game.

Players of Pokémon Scarlet will be able to obtain the following Pokémon:

Alolan Ninetalespokemon_alolan_ninetalesScarlet
Cranidospokemon_cranidosScarlet
Rampardospokemon_rampardosScarlet
Raging Bolt1021Scarlet
Gouging Fire1020Scarlet

Trainers trying to complete their Pokédex in Pokémon Violet will need to trade with someone playing Pokémon Scarlet in order to add these entries.

Likewise, Pokémon Violet also features Pokémon that cannot be found in the opposite version:

The exclusive Pokémon for each game are counterparts of one another, so they can be found in the same locations in their respective games.
