For those of you who live under a rock, spoiler alert: Breath of the Wild won Game of the Year for 2017. This should come as no surprise to anyone who played the game (either on the Wii U or the Switch), even if towards the end of the year it just seemed like Nintendo was competing against itself, however, we’re sure there must be some people who had their own pick that wasn’t a Nintendo game.
But… sorry for those people.
See, not only did Breath of the Wild win GotY at the official Game Awards this season, but our new favorite Zelda title also made it to the top of the list for 163 other media outlets. Yes, you heard me right: 163 picks for BotW.
The list is absolutely way too extensive to share here in full, but if you’re curious, you can check it out on the GotY Blogspot, where each pick for Zelda is bolded.
And if you were one of those people who was gunning for Super Mario Odyssey instead, there are a couple picks for our red-hatted friend in there, too.
