After being leaked a few weeks back, Krispy Kreme has finally unveiled its official lineup of Pokémon themed doughnuts coming to stores next week. Set to land in locations nationwide starting August 18th, 2026, customers will have the chance to indulge in baked goods themed around Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and a Poké Ball. I guess they didn’t want to deal with a sixth monster, though the Poké Ball is fairly iconic.
Doughnuts will be available for purchase individually, or in a limited-edition Pokémon box. The box contains a dozen donuts with some duplicates of the Pokémon ones. The rest are filled out with regular glazed donuts. If you’re more one for donut holes, Krispy Kreme will also have five different themed cups (one for each of the Pokémon) serving “Original Glazed Gold Dots” instead of the full-sized donuts. I think that’s a missed opportunity to have mini Poké Balls, but that probably would have been difficult to pull off.

As part of the promotion, customers who stop by a Krispy Kreme location on Saturday, August 22nd, while wearing Pokémon merch will get a free original glazed doughnuts on the house. I question why that isn’t one of the themed doughnuts, but maybe those cost more. At any rate, you can currently pre-order the box of a dozen if you’d like, which seems a little silly for a doughnut. Then again, anything Pokémon related tends to drive people bananas, so it might actually be a good idea if you’re dying to have these. There’s no Krispy Kreme near me, so I’ll have to miss out.
