NPD shared some intriguing insights regarding the Nintendo Switch’s record-breaking launch. With over 900,000 units sold in its first month and 100%+ attachment rate for Breath of the Wild, the hybrid console now sits pretty as the second most successful hardware launch in history since 1995.

MARIO KART THEMING RACES THROUGH TARGET STORES ACROSS AMERICA
Who says shopping for underwear can’t be fun? Starting today, Nintendo is teaming up with Target to offer guests a bit of Mario Kart theming in its stores across the country. From souped-up shopping karts to Lakitu plastered entryways, check out all the tiny tweaks being made by the clever retailer nationwide to hype Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Switch debut next week.

SPLATOON MANGA SERIES GETTING INKED IN THE WEST
Japanese-American entertainment company VIZ Media announced on Twitter that the Splatoon manga series, originally released in Japan, will be making its way overseas in late 2017.

KONAMI DROPS A NOSTALGIA BOMB ON SUPER BOMBERMAN R
Konami’s digging deep into its backlog of historic franchises for Super Bomberman R’s next big update. At some point in the future the game will be patched with characters based on Castlevania’s Simon Belmont, Gradius’ Vic Viper and Silent Hill’s Pyramid Head.

THE MANY FRESH FEATURES OF SPLATOON 2 AMIIBO
The Squid Research Lab pulled back the curtain to provide a look at some of splatastic sequel’s figure related features, highlighting just how social Inklings can be. Not only does tapping the fresh figures store a set of gear, but also brings your creations into the game’s hub for some snazzy photo ops.

ALL ABOARD FOR NEW DREAM LAND TRAIN KIRBY MERCHANDISE
Japan’s latest batch of Kirby merch expands on the existing Dream Land Train collection, with new items such as headphones, sketchbooks, keychains and an adorable, tourist Bandana Dee plush. Take a tour through all of Planet Popstar’s finest with the pink puffball obsessed Ricky Berg.

MIN MIN’S FEET OF FURY FEATURED IN NEW ARMS ART
The official Japanese ARMS Twitter page uploaded some new art and very cool GIF of the game’s newest fighter: Min Min. Can I just say, the “ramen bomber” is probably now my favorite nickname for a character since Queen Slug-for-a-Butt.

A GUIDE TO UNLOCKING MARIO KART 8 DELUXE’S GOLD PAINTED PLUMBER

WHO NEEDS POKÉ BALLS WHEN YOU’VE GOT SNOW GLOBES
