The Pokémon Company’s worldwide music project – referred to as P25 Music and packaged into CD and vinyl releases under Pokémon 25: The Album – isn’t over! Last year saw the release of singles, a digital concert from Post Malone, music videos, remixes, and more leading up to the album’s release in October. Now in 2022, the soundtrack is not only getting some snazzy vinyl releases via retailers and contests, but also a new music video. Just in time for Pokémon Day too!
Part of the Japanese CD release, yet still available via music streaming services like Apple Music, Yaffle’s single “Reconnect” ft. Daichi Yamamoto & AAAMYYY is bringing CGI Pikachu and friends to a candy shop, with lots of dancing and snacks for Snorlax.
Currently, the music video is only available on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel. Given Japan’s strict copyright laws (especially focused on music), that will probably be the only place to watch the video along with Yaffle’s other single for the project – “Grown” (ft. 空音 & yama).
The Pokémon Day countdown and events are still going! Look forward to tomorrow’s Pokémon GO Tour: Johto event in Pokémon GO followed by a Pokémon Presents on Sunday, February 27th.
